Was i talking about big budget flicks with Alisters? No i was talking about gay movies that won BP. Or didn't

Ok, but they still aren't in.

With studios now chasing more international dollars (Asia) they will limit how much or how obvious homosexual themes are as they will be played in a lot of places not as accepting and they are cool about it.

Movies like Moonlight may still score critical acclaim, but don't expect the next lead in a 100,000,000 movie to be an openly gay man.

I know some will bring up Bohemian Rhapsody here but that had it homosexual parts and references edited out for international markets.

Talk about standing by your values lol.

Watched the first 3 Indiana Jones movies again recently but is Kingdom of the Crystal Skull really that bad that it's not worth watching? I've never seen it..

I saw it at the cinema and thought it was OK apart from the ending, it's not as good as the original films but it's not as bad as some people make out.

I changed my mind after not liking in it the cinema and now think TLJ isn't bad but I hate what they did to Hux's character.
The thing I disliked the most about the movie and annoys me about the new movies at this point is we still don’t know who or what Snoke was and how poorly I thought they developed some of the characters in TLJ

I forgot about Green Mile

But Shawshank and Cuckoos Nest ( for me) represent the little mans fight against the system and the ultimate freedom both major characters achieve. The acting was top notch ( casting maybe not so) and the ensemble was solid

Cuckoos nest is fantastic

This is one of my fav movie scenes

Or lesbian.

FWIW i would have much preferred to see the "grittier" version of BR, or even Moonlight to take it further as well. FWIW tho i did enjoy Moonlight much more the second time around than at the cinema. Dunno why tho.

My favourite by far of all the Tarantino- kicks so much ass, is funny and just so stylish. The soundtrack too.

I saw the first one in England, then was home for part II. I saw it in the middle of the day... but jesus I was toey. In the sense that if the audience members did not behave themselves I would have seriously 'lost it". You know what i mean... Luckily they behaved.

In something like Star Wars (VII & VIII) it's annoying because like most cases it's forced, in something like Titanic it would be historically inaccurate. If someone wants to pony up $200m and make woke Titanic they are welcome to, but it won't be as successful as the original.

Jesus.

Did you do this?

It is

Great movie, but people seem to go on about it because it’s what everyone else does. They think it makes them look cool and deep to call it their favourite movie.

The Green Mile is better

Shawshank is an awesome film, watch it for the first time and it blows your mind. watch it again, knowing the ending, and it obviously isn't as good. Watch it for the 20th time and of course its not as good.

My all time favorite Silence of the lambs ive banned for at least 5 years- maybe more. Have seen it too many times

I still shake my head that my parents let us watch it with them when it came out on video. I would have been about 10-11 and my brother 8-9 yrs old. No wonder my brother was scared shitless.

Its a film I still get a bit scared at the end when the killer has the night vision goggles on event though I know what is going to happen, all due to watching it so young I reckon.

Really? I reckon it's far, far more common to hear people going on about how overrted it is.

Was watching Shawshank one time in class. The principal chose the exact moment to walk in the room: now you are gonna open your mouth. And you'll swallow what I give you"

i legit died.

He quickly exited the room :D

I honestly cannot recall the first time I watched Silence. Probably later on when it was on TV probably around 15/16 years old.

I wish they would bring it back to the cinema. That final scene in a dead quiet dark movie cinema, yes please

Yeah that would be pretty cool. Imagine doing that the first time you saw it.......and then having to drive home and some guy asks you to help move a couch into his truck

Pretty sure Ted Bundy did that- faking an injury. That's what inspired that in the film.
