Are they not on melb?
Idk

You are a real 'foodie', of course you haven't.
Tonight I had salt and pepper squid, hash browns and a sour cream and garlic aioli. I'm doing my big shop for the month on Sunday so I want to use stuff in my freezer.

I'm not going to make a Thanksgiving dinner for my friends this year. It was a lot of work last year, though I enjoyed it. I have two specialists visits beginning at 9am the next morning at St Vincent's in the city. It might be a bit too much to do the day before. I had thought about us going to TGI Fridays for their special Thanksgiving Day dinner, but it's rather expensive and the closest TGI Friday's is at Southbank in the city. We don't have any here in the western suburbs. I used to go to the one at Doncaster Shopping Centre when I lived in Box Hill.

Though he eats kfc
I've had KFC once in the two and a half years that I've lived here. Same with Maccas. Maybe twice. I've also only had Hungrys twice from Uber Eats.

LOL I opened the link and I see on the far left of the main page that they are opening up one of those near where I used to live in the states, the first in the Chicago area.

Why would one order chips in a Messican restaurant?

They had a few stores but didn't take.

OMG The sun warmed up my bedroom so much this morning that I had to put the a/c on in the living room and open my bedroom door so I could take my meds and lie down again for half an hour. Even Zsa Zsa has come into the living room where it's cool instead of sleeping next to the bedroom window. A lovely 9 degrees in Chicago at the moment.

Damn. The cricket's back to ruin my afternoons on Ch7. At least I have the Democratic debate to watch online.

I just turned the cricket on for a moment and noticed that the players have their names and numbers on the back of their shirts. When did this start happening for Test Cricket? I know that they wear all kinds of pretty colours and bangles for Cricket Lite, but is there no dignity in Test Cricket anymore?

On the topic of food, I went to Brighton Beach tonight, played a bit of beach cricket then tried to find something local for something to eat. Everything was closed by 9pm. What is this? Why aren’t they open longer?

Wow. Its like we're living in Perf all of a sudden Scotland

After the World Cup. The ICC have brought in the World Test Championship, and this is a result of that.

So this is the first time on Australian soil? I have to admit that it might have helped my poor father back in 1982 when we went to the Boxing Day match. He had no idea which team was which and who was who because they all wore white. LOL He also asked me to explain the scoreboard. If I remember correctly that might have been the first time the electric scoreboard was used for Test Cricket. If not, it at least was the first time that I had seen it. I had no idea. It was a rather nice day, sunny and not too warm. But not one wicket fell while we were there for a few hours. One did fall as were going up the stairs in the Northern Stand but we missed it. Needless to say, my dad was not a fan. Mum just looked around at the crowd. They LOVED the footy when they visited in 1979. :D

Yeah. I think this could be the first game in Australia, but it was also used in the Ashes earlier in the year.

My first day at a Test match was 2005 Boxing Day, Australia v Saffers. My mum has just got her MCC membership.

OK. That makes sense. I guess that even though I don't find cricket interesting, I liked the tradition of it. I did enjoy going to one day matches back in the 80s, especially to watch my fellow American West Indies play. But this BBL crap and the other forms seem to have gotten out of control. I guess I also liked the romanticism of cricket being an honorable sport, especially the idea of the phrase "that's just not cricket", that even Americans use. The sandpaper incident ended that for me. I don't mind the guilty players being allowed to play again after they have served their punishment, but I got pissed off when I saw the Ch 7 promo trying to rehabilitate Smith's name and make him once again into a cricket god. Too soon.
