Because the Adelaide media were very quick to publish multiple stories about Jackson assaulting a man (when he did not) pep assaulting a woman (he did not) and Ryder assaulting police (he did not).

all were treated as scandals, with multiple stories written about them for days.
Crows embroiled in probably the most scandalous thing you can imagine and 1/10th the words get written as the made up stuff attributed to Port.

if port fans are critical of the media and crows fans they have that right imo.

In fairness, this is some bloke nobody's ever heard of we're talking about. If it was a Taylor Walker type being outed for kiddie fiddling, not even C7 and the Advertiser would keep that out of the news.

Riccuito, as a Camry Crows board member, has known since March 2019 that Kremmer had been arrested and charged with a serious offence as the Camry Crows terminated his employment at that time. The Camry Crows may or may not have known the nature of the offence as in these cases the persons name is suppressed and it is only now that he has pleaded guilty can his name be made public. Even if they did know the nature of the offence it was illegal for them to make it public.

I like to bag the Camry Crows as much as the next Ports supporter but to accuse them of a cover up is way off the mark.

I remember once, in the last days of Footy Park, there was a child molested in one of the public toilets on the western wing by a guy wearing a crows guernsey. The story got about 5mins airplay before it was shut down and never spoken of again.

we’ve simply said this is another example of the disparity in the way the media treats each south Australian football club.

the thing hasn’t even made the scandals thread on the main board here which is amazing and shows how little traction the story has gotten. I mean that boards got 100’s of pages of obscure crap you’ve never heard of but they haven’t heard a whisper of this scandal over the border.

Considering one of the main culprits in the Family is dirty old campaigner that is always pictured with a Crows foundation member tie on... AND the prominent eastern suburbs businessman that still to this day fights tooth and nail to keep his name suppressed whenever any Family story is released IS a very large financial contributor to the Crows!

it’s reasonable to ask why a club boss who works in the media has been quiet on something he’s known for months.

where was that respect for due process or whatever when he and others were speaking daily on Sam Powell peppers case?

that didn’t read as an accusation of cover up, it reads as asking why a media commentator has been quiet on this particular issue he’s known for so long? A relevant question although one we already know the answer to.

it also points out the problems we’ve spoken about in the past of having a club boss in the media who’s allowed to commentate on every bit of gossip that comes up about one club, but can claim it wouldn’t be right to comment on their own club due to respecting process or whatever. It’s the exact kind of conflict that any sensible person would suggest could come up.
