I can see the logic in changing the song.

The first song is just two line lyrics, repeated over and over. Not much of a song.

But this new one, hasnt done much to improve it. They could of done so much better.

Birds of Tokyo were always unashamedly poppy, but they had some reasonably good songs on the first few album and their ability to write good melodies was always obvious. Any further into the pop realm and they were always going to end up sounding like Nickelback, which is pretty much where they’re at.

Every album from Plans onwards has been a contrived snooze fest.

As a big early Birds fan, I agree totally!!

We'll wait to see how it sounds, but it's not often that an AFL team officially changes their song.
