hmmm who nearly beat ya during the year ? looks like Wce were shell shocked or did woosha give em a good old Blasting ;)
and fev will kick 100 goals this year, we got the fire power ,
waite, fisher, betts,Fevola, Ackland and whitnall, and few others
and having the tallest height list in the AFL

07 the Year Of The Blues who Will be hard to stop

Everyone looks at Carlton forward line and think of it as there "strong point" (dont ask me how theres a strong point in that team). I think those people need to take a closer look at it. Quite simply the players that surround Fevola are not up to AFL standard or quality. Lets take a unbiased look at them

Brad Fisher - Injury prone footballer with kicking skills that rival Mark McGough. Cant take a contested mark and relies on cheap kicks on a wing to make a name for himself. Not good enough.

Jarrad Waite - One of the most untalented CHF in the game. Cant take a contested mark to save himself and is too lightweight to play deep. A glorified half back flanker. Not good enough

Anthony Koutafides - The man who spent the entire pre season dancing around in a suit  . Was a good player ten years ago but now he is a shell of what he once was. Uninterested player with no passion. Should of retired

Eddie Betts - Unfit slow and untalented. Cant mark cant kick and has carried his career based on 3 fluke goals. Not good enough

Josh Kennedy - Injury prone KPP who has had 2 shoulder reconstructions. I can tell you he is just another version of Kepler Bradley, If he makes it ill enter the next draft. Not good enough

Its funny to see how one man all of a sudden has made the players around him look half decent. The thing is what happens when this one man leaves. What happens when this one man loses form and doesnt care anymore. A post Fev Carlton ( I imagine he will retire in 2 years to travel with Bingle) or a injury to him and the club will fold and be gone forever. I hope they have million dollar insurance because the lack of talent next too him will cause concern for Carlton for many years to come

I seriously cant believe how stupid you are.

Josh Kennedy - He has played what? 9 games maybe. Its his first year for crying out loud. What were you doing when you were 18. For that matter what was Tony Lockett or Tony Modra doing? Not setting the footballing world on fire in their first year thats for sure.

Anthony Koutafides - Your actually right on this one, Kouta is not a good forward, maybe thats why we dont play him there?

Eddie Betts - You dont seem to realise thats what he is payed for. To kick fluke goals, that is why he is on the team. Tell me how he is slow and unfit when he gives a second and sometimes third effort to every contest he has an opportunity at. Sure he gets knocked down but he cant help his size, the important thing is that he gets back up.

Brad Fisher - Ah yes, "injury prone". You say that like its his fault. Trouble is that I think that if he had the choice of doing his AC joint agian or playing on the field for Carlton I think he would choose the football. do you see what I am getting at here, he cant help that he gets injurys, maybe they come from all the contests that he goes into? Maybe its from him putting in more than he is supposted to? If determination is a bad thing, then well, oh, thats right you go for West Coast. Determination IS a bad thing over there.

Jarred Waite - I must be blind, how else can you expalin two people having completly different perceptions of the same player? Light weight? Not only does he reguarly take contested marks but he is 192cm and 93 kilos. And from the naked eye is usally one of the biggest players on field on both teams during game day. Honestly how can you justify that statement?

I could go into how West Coast have a rubbish forward line, but I suspect you already know this, and thats why you feel so jealous of Carltons.

Eventually everybody finds their own level and sticks to it. Consistency is the key F-U. Well done for never attempting to rise above your level.

I can handle criticism but this constant lieing and invention of supposed "facts" is getting ridiculous. Im still waiting for one stat or one idea to show that Fevola isnt protecting these hacks. Theres a reason Fevola had the ball kicked into him twice more then Lynch. Im sure the instructions are out there by Pagan. Kick it to Fevola and only him. Our other forwards just arnt good enough to kick us our goals. I have a feeling he is exactly right. Kind of sad to see Pagan taking the fall for being a poor coach when in reality he just has very poor players to work with :thumbsd:

Nobody at your club managed to beat Eddie for GOTY.
Obviously nobody at your club was good enough to beat Eddie for GOTY.

The Eagles club just rang and we would like to trade our premiership cup for the GOTY award. That being such a high class and highly respected trophy and all  (think Judd won it last year anyway)

OK, we'll just throw it in the pile of silverware that your club will never approach.

We've got way more premiership cups than GOTY awards. They're becoming a bit common.

When do you think your club might approach getting even half way to double figures in premierships? I know it'll be at least 50 years...but would you care to hazard a guess for sometime between 2057 and 2257?

With a player like Fevola in your team, why wouldn't you kick it to him at every opportunity? The guy is A1. I'd dare say WC would modify their game plan a fair bit if he was playing FF for the Eagles. Fevola by himself makes Cartons forawrd line look just as imposing as West Coasts. In essence the same argument F-U has put forward could be used againts the Eagles. Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Waters, Fletcher, Glass, etc, etc, etc, etc protects WC's no talent hack forward line ever bit as much as Fev does for Carlton.

i dont really like to comment on other teams as it does seemingly just get out of control most of the time and everyone will always defend their own but seeing as i love the talk about forwards/ forward lines lets take a realistic glance here at your forward line...

Fevola- clearly the 'only' real target you have and alot of people say a full forward will win you premierships but without other talented forwards in the squad to assist it will never happen, but thats not degrading Fev, he is an absolute gun.

Waite- well.....with all the 'hyped' talent he possesses he clearly is no better than tarrant as a key forward. If Tarrant was a hack at collingwood well its hard to come up with something to suit waite as he is a flanker himself and plays similarly to tarrant. Injury prone, this will be a defining season for him, has spent alot of time on the list and needs to show he can deliver.

Fisher- again injury prone and probably a massive year looming for him to stay healthy and regardless of whose at fault for his injuries he clearly cant avoid them. Is way over 'hyped' by some carlton supporters. (again relate back to the tarrant thrashing).

Kouta- clearly not a forward and cant play there, unlike bucks but thats not to say he isnt a champ. I still think he can go on but cannot spend majority game time in middle as he used to, need to find a back up plan for kouta or else its the pine when his body runs out of puff or cant take the batterings in the middle anymore.

Kennedy- still young and untried in most respects. Cannot comment straight away, give him the time as most other footballers are given but the only thing ill comment on kennedy is perhaps queries on his pace.

Betts- can do the 'special' things and no doubt is being groomed and building his engine to play more regularly on ball. A crowd favourite and has probably shown glimpses he can cut it but like most players of his ilk consistency will be the main priority or problem.

So overall, realisticaly still possesses some promise but not as much as some carlton supporters tend to hype it as. Outside of Fev its hard to see a clear matchwinner who can stand up and kick the crucial goals wen they count as proven, whether it be a tall or small. As i said kennedy will be given time to prove but patience has to be wearing thin on waite and fisher surely.

Wrong there, ask just about any pundit and they will telll you he has a` good set of hands. A Good one grabber

Jarrad Waite - One of the most untalented CHF in the game. Cant take a contested mark to save himself and is too lightweight to play deep. A glorified half back flanker. Not good enough.
I agree needs to show something or will be put in the unfullfilled category

Anthony Koutafides - The man who spent the entire pre season dancing around in a suit  . Was a good player ten years ago but now he is a shell of what he once was. Uninterested player with no passion. Should of retiredEventually, father time catched up with everybody. Obvious call

Eddie Betts - Unfit slow and untalented. Cant mark cant kick and has carried his career based on 3 fluke goals. Not good enough. only 2 years in the system. Has many an upside to his game. His Defensvie skilld in keeping the ball in the forward fifty is right up there.

Josh Kennedy - Injury prone KPP who has had 2 shoulder reconstructions. I can tell you he is just another version of Kepler Bradley, If he makes it ill enter the next draft. Not good enough. One year in and ytou are blowing him off? Supremely Talented and will get there and be a player.

How many games of the Blues have you seen? Im not totally biased , but your comments are not researched and ill informed. How bout rating your own teams forward line?

I think if Waite and Fisher were in the WCE forward line, given the speed and precise delivery of your oustanding midfield, you'd find them to be very good. Fisher would be a sensational 3rd tall in your team with his contested marking, as would Waite. Bit harder with our crappy disposal and delivery.

Doesn't help when the Useless One continually adopts defensive flooding as a game plan. Doesn't help the forwards at all.

The problem with being a top side is that your forward line is more often flooded. More so under Woosha's man on man philosphy thus making it more difficult for forwards to find the space they crave. Of course often having 8 or 9 players in the forward line means you get a large spread of goal scorers, note that 12 players kicked 3 or more goals in season 2006 for the WCE

Staker who is similar to Waite and Fisher was our 3 tall and is a great contested mark but it didn't translate to him having a "sensational season" .

Lieing? Have I lied once? One example is all you need.
Inventing facts? When have I invented facts? Again one example.
Its an opinion, just as you have yours I have mine.
And any REAL football supporter knows that stats are useless.

You mean too tell me the other 16 players make the forward line look good. Who would of thought that

I'm only agreeing with the point raised by a Carlton supporter to show that the exact same arguement that your supporter started a thread about, could also be used for your own side.
Its not about stating the obvious.

Theres a big difference between the two teams. 16 places. A premiership and a spoon for starters

I'm not disputing that West Coast is greater than Carlton or about the premiership, just the fact that an Eagles supporter has said that Fevola protects the rest of the forward line hacks in his side, I'm saying that this could also be the case for West Coasts super centre line making the West Coasts forward line look better than what it is.

Keep the pile well hidden, I believe recieving stolen goods is illegal.

How have you gone since your club was caught - that's a fair pile of woodenware your building up.
