In Brazil, we usually have a play-by-play caller, an opiniative commentator, and an umpiring commentator in the booth, and two field reporters behind the goals.
Blimey. That's a lot for a game where there is a score roughly every three matches ;)

It is the opposite. Because scoring is hard, there's plenty of things to tell. :)

"We apologise for interrupting this rivetting panel discussion on the history of the original inhabitants of this region, but we have as yet unconfirmed reports of a goal in one of today's other games. We'll of course keep you posted"

He has zero legspeed, and can kick it maybe 35 metres at best. My issue is his habit of kicking it about 20 metres without looking. Seems to do that a bit. Is why I still feel a motivated and in form Wines is an upgrade.
Aweful kicking style... But damn it, he just keeps finding and distributing the ball. While he keeps doing that, I am happy.

Anyone willing to ring AA and ask cRowey what he thinks of Port wearing the prison bars in every Showdown?

Dwayno getting a bit carried away...wouldn't mind if he's right though!

I heard Dwayne say that and then I thought more hyperbolic bullshit from Dwayne who is very excited about footy and sports being back, would have had them back weeks ago and wants near full stadiums, so ignore it.

Then I thought he is probably the only person to play footy with them both for a few seasons with each, so he should have some idea.

From the above article...

MATTHEW PAVLICH

Six-time Fremantle best-and-fairest

As someone who grew up in South Australia, I used to hate the prison bars guernsey because I often saw them lifting another premiership cup. But I’m all for it now. I think it’s a great jumper. As a traditionalist and someone who loves South Australian football and the heritage that Port Adelaide Magpies bring, I think it absolutely has a place in the competition. Obviously there’s an issue when they play Collingwood and potentially a few other teams, but I’d love to see it some more. The prison bars are great.

BEN DIXON

Former Hawthorn champion

I’m all for it. I love tradition and it’s the traditional Port Adelaide jumper which resonates with the fans. I know we see a lot of upgrades to jumpers at times, but some things I think you should preserve. If they don’t play Collingwood, I don’t see a problem with it. I can understand where the frustration might be for the Magpies, but they’ve had that jumper for over 100 years. As long as you’re not playing Collingwood, there’s no clash in my book.

Really they will aim for thew two Showdowns (I think it will be quite a struggle to get that the way the VFL run it).

The big thing will be once you allow it for two games it ill eventually turn into more games - my guess is the AFL will want us to sign a contract if they allow the two games saying that's it, that's where I reckon it will be stalled if not already being stalled.

Gillon and the AFL Commission don't have the guts to do what's right here, they will be VFL biased, what a great asset for a competition to have - yet keep hidden.

It's up to the fans, we need to bring a groundswell of jumpers to the crowd at all home games especially, the more visible the better, Eddy and the AFl can't stop that.

It would border on stupidity for the AFL to ignore fans, especially the money that can be generated for the club with an asset like this, and as we have seen, the AFL need strong financial clubs.

The silence form the AFL on this issue is hilarious, utter weak campaigners with no spine.

If we got to wear the PBs twice a year, every year, that would be a win in my eyes.

Contracts/agreements can expire or be re-negotiated later down the track.

Great post
I still can’t believe how Eddie wasn’t shown the door when he besmirch Adam Goodes a couple of years ago. I won’t mention what he said as it is so racist yet he is still there running the show!
The time is now for the PAFC to show some guts and get this guernsey issue settled once and for all. With the current outrage over prominent people being racists it’s now time to go after Eddie for his past racist’s comments. The infuriating thing is that he thought he was funny.

Flogarty is a super set shot for goal and in the 1980s sanfl would have been a serviceable Glenelg full forward.

Who's the club great?

Who isn't? It could be any one of their pantheon of greats - Balraj Singh, Adam Richardson, Shane Tongerie.

So many to choose from.

It's a silly little thing but Hinkley and Boak said in the post match press conference that we haven't lost in the PBs under Hinkley and the club website has gone with it again in the '5 things we learned' article. Might want to fact check that one.
