haha free to do what I want, nothing wrong with video games I prefer to spend my time at the gym, running, walking, kicking the footy.
personally I just think an adult playing Video games is child like
Exactly. I'm far from a video gamer, but i enjoy the occasional showdown with my kids on NBA2K or CTR. What's with all these idiots telling us what we can and can't do as adults!? My life, my choice. Next they'll say as an adult I can't ride my bike, go for a surf, play table tennis with my mates, go on waterslides, sleep in past 8am. I even still wear my Dees football jumper to games. And I'm over 40!! Shock! Horror!! Guess i should grow up!!Of course it's child like, that's the whole idea of it. You don't find things you used to do as a kid somewhat nostalgic and fun still?
I love opening footy cards with my kids, still gives me the same buzz today as it did back then when we find a rare one.
I hear this occasionally and always get a laugh out of it. So sitting on the couch watching television is ok and not child like. But doing effectively the same thing but with a controller in your hand is child like?personally I just think an adult playing Video games is child like
ok, im a young bugger and i play video games or watch gaming stuff at least 20 hours a week. Over 40 yrs is a bit weird to still be playing video games unless you're an og and have been playing since early 2000's. I always cringe at mums and dads trying to be cool and relate to their kids even though thats the last thing the kids want.
It's pretty cool that you were able to come back and enjoy games with your son. It's just a bit weird when parents who have never played before try to be cool and start playing to impress their kids.Mate, I loved mortal Kombat 1 when it first came out, hadn't bought a console since the ps2 for myself, but then my boy wanted a PS4 and when Mortal Kombat 11 came out last year i saw the Johnny Cage preview on YouTube and was blown away by it, hook line and sinker me. Played that for months on end when it came out.
I mainly used to play sports video games but stopped playing coz I used to be a massive NBA fan and my team (the Sonics) got relocated to some place in the sticks so stopped following the NBA. There was nothing left for me. Madden has been getting shitter every year since 2008 so gave up on that also.
MK11 rekindled my love tho.
Embarrassing you say also? Mate, I kick my kids arse constantly when we play against each other in MK11, he's the one who gets embarrassed, flawless victories aplenty! .![]()
Try the early 90'sok, im a young bugger and i play video games or watch gaming stuff at least 20 hours a week. First video game you remember time!Try the early 90's

I must admit I still play games and I'm in my mid 30's. For me I struggle to sit still and watch television (in fact other than maybe 30 mins before I go to sleep I rarely watch the tv that isn't sport). Even if I do watch tv I play with my phone or get up every 10-15 minutes so I find playing games I can lock into as I am doing something with my hands rather than mindlessly staring at the tv
On a console, F-Zero on Nintendo.First video game you remember time!
Mine was Red Alert

I think the thing is too that the generation before ours didn't really grow up with video games. Not having them accessible in your household anyway. So it was always seen as a kid thing to play video games. But now you have a generation of 30-40 year olds that have had video games accessible in their households their whole life and still enjoy them. The only thing I have moved away from is I don't play many sports games anymore and I don't really play onlineI am the same, I cant sit still to watch TV unless its football or a sports doco, I find playing PS4 keeps me interested and focused on something and most of the time i am playing sports games against mates online, and I'm in my mid 30's too.

Yes! My bro and I loved Police QuestOn a console, F-Zero on Nintendo.
Plenty of PC games before that, does anyone remember Police Quest?
so you're a man of good taste, anybody who thinks fortnite is a good game is either 7 or mentally dillusionalI'm not really into any of the newer type game, mainly just old classic from my youth that have been remade, love GTA and red dead also.
Definitely not a fotrnite player! I tell my son it's a game for nerds lol.
