Jack Graham..

This is why we havn't won a flag for over 20 yrs.

I wouldn't be surprised if that shoulder is completely stuffed.

Graham is a solid player but no better than many sanfl blokes that would bust a gut for a go at it.

Got his flag then stuffed his shoulder all getting a bit hard in melb... yeah back to the crows... nah not anymore this shit stops now.

Yeah thats all well and good, but this year is the first year i've ever thought that he looks bored with that role.

Maybe its just the losing getting to him, but his body language looks different to me.
He knows beating his man will make stuff all difference to the result whereas in the past it was a small part of what made up a win

I think he's just a limited player. Doesn't like to play too far outside what he is comfortable doing same as Jake Kelly.
Likes to go long down the line after a mark.
Likes to man his player and stand in the right spaces.
Doesn't run off his player enough
The only thing Brown needs is a bit of agro.
He is excellent at what he does imagine trying to play lockdown on a gun small forward and look around to see Kelly and Hartigan making mistake after mistake and our midfield letting the ball come in on a platter.

If I was him I'd be asking for a trade haha.

I'd like to see us take whatever we're paying Luke Brown and use it to make an offer to Liam Baker at Richmond. He's currently rookie listed (!) and I believe is OOC. He's younger and better than Brown and like many of Richmond's fringe players you'd expect is potentially gettable.

He re signed last year for 2y , don’t think he’s still rookie. In any case contracted and prob finish top 5-6 in bf , far from fringe , bloody good player

Hi everyone,

New poster here. Sorry if this has been discussed before, but should we go after Bailey Williams from the Bulldogs?

22 years old, 187cm/85kg and South Australian. Has mostly played as defender for the doggies but can play in the midfield (played midfield as a junior?). His 2020 stats suggests that he is having a great year. Out of contract at the end of 2021. Could we entice him here by offering some midfield time?

Anybody else know more info about him like strengths/weaknesses and would he be a good option for us?

I like him, the time to get him was last off season when he wasn't getting regular games and was coming out of contract so his value was low but he signed a 2 year deal, maybe he didn't want to return to SA, who even knows if we enquired, I'd be disappointed if we didn't, but I feel like this ship has sailed considering he's cemented his spot in the side this season.

Could he be.. the big fish?

With reports the club is supposed to be showing some interest in Jack Graham as a mature age recruit, size and all round skill wise I'd much sooner be looking down the road at the taller mid Willem Drew, seen a lot of this lad as a junior here and there's plenty to like about his skill set.

He's a contested ball winning mid that works his ass off defensively as well as offering the ability to get forward and hit the scoreboard. Hasn't really established himself down the road yet with a few injury issues intervening at the wrong times for him and lack of AFL opportunities even though he's dominated the SANFL.
Out of contract season's end and likely comes cheaper than Jack Graham and IMO offers more going forward.

yep thought about Willem Drew the other day, really impressed me how he played for Port when I saw him at both levels, I’d be chasing him hard. Him and Joe Atley should look elsewhere if they want to play consistently in the AFL & are seemingly so far back in the pecking order behind Boak, Wines, Rockliff, Powell-Pepper, Ebert and even somehow Cam Sutcliffe .

Its a pity you can’t develop if your own and keep them. Have Bass too, and Ladhams. Anything else?

We'll take your recruiter and fitness guy too.

Consider it a partial repayment for all those handouts dished out your way.

Geez some people make some moronic statements on here..

Rockcliff, watts, motlop, lycett, Burton and ryder all say hi..

all these player were developed (some very poorly mind you) elsewhere and traded in to the powa..

What’s B Smith worth on the open market? Is a late first rounder wishful thinking?
Bsmith is in the “never trade” column for me..

too good a player, a great club man and potentially a good chance at a coaching role post retirement.. he really took on a great coaching/mentoring role when he was out for a year with his knee..

id rather we keep him
