Sorry so you not want established youth playing?
*Looks at ladder. *
Yeah, let's follow Adelaide's lead.
Your complaining we aren't playing enough kids because you are discounting kids you think are established. Not sure how you thought I was suggesting that?
At least they’re a bat s**t crazy club that torture the s**t of their players to get them all fired upWho cares about the ladder? We are two spots above them and they haven't won a game. At least they are getting a look at their kids and finding out who might be worth retaining moving forward with smaller list sizes.
That’s a fair few.Yes there is a balance, but what kids are in there? Day, Glass, CJ and Hanrahan? Edit, forgot Cousins.
Worpel and Scrimshaw are established first team players.
I don't see Poppy in the team.Adelaide are doing it and refusing to play Bryce Gibbs which is the correct thing to do. Scully playing over Morrison and Moore in particular is absolutely ridiculous considering where we are at as a club and I can't be convinced otherwise.
Could have kept Morrison in and brought in Cegs and Poppy instead of Hanrahan and Patton if he wanted to go really conservative. That’s a team picked to minimise damage. Other than picking minch or brooksby did we have any more experienced players to pick? Can’t think of any.
There’s always 1-3 selections a week where Clarko shows his conservative bias that is costing us over the long run.
Hartley and Patton selections make sense but did we really need to see howe and Scully given where our season is at? Is cousins really the future in the midfield? Do we need to see more of Ollie or worth seeing someone else?
Yeah you can make a case for each one individually but as a group the selections don’t stack up with only 6 games left and our season over.
10 of the team are 25 or under

And you may be right by years end. This is audition time and they are first up. That’s my view anyway. The bolded ones I can safely say have very little future at the elite level.
No they’re not, they’re a basket case. No one has any idea might have it when they are playing the way they have in 80% of their games this year. Carlton and Melbourne learned this the hard way with 15+ years in the absolute wilderness and talented kids, one after the other lost to development hell. If Adelaide don’t play their cards right, they might be on a similar trajectoryWho cares about the ladder? We are two spots above them and they haven't won a game. At least they are getting a look at their kids and finding out who might be worth retaining moving forward with smaller list sizes.
You want to follow Adelaides footsteps? I get the sentiment but surely you can come up with a better example than Adelaide.Adelaide are doing it and refusing to play Bryce Gibbs which is the correct thing to do. Scully playing over Morrison and Moore in particular is absolutely ridiculous considering where we are at as a club and I can't be convinced otherwise.
Glass, Howe, Hanrahan, CJ all uncontracted at years end. We need to see who gets a contract.Yes there is a balance, but what kids are in there? Day, Glass, CJ and Hanrahan? Edit, forgot Cousins.
Worpel and Scrimshaw are established first team players.
And thats exactly what we're doing.Who cares about the ladder? We are two spots above them and they haven't won a game. At least they are getting a look at their kids and finding out who might be worth retaining moving forward with smaller list sizes.
And thats exactly what we're doing.

As the great Leigh Matthews said last week about the Hawks; you need the bigger elephants in the team to take the heat off the younger ones. and you have to do it gradually. Otherwise you completely stunt their development.
Agree, you can't turn over the top end of the list and then expunge a bunch of youth at the same time.If that was the case they wouldn't be getting auditions for contracts
How can you even argue?I don't agree. But for all of you who can you are clearly far more optimistic.
