Gresham forward Ha! Worst set shot for goal in the AFL

I normally advocate against goal kicking coaches trying to alter someones shot on goal, but I think Gresham would really benefit for it. He has that weird compulsion not to kick straight through the ball, so it's not a surprise his shots on goal are so terrible.

I want Seb Ross gone. His basic skills and game awareness cost us time and time again. Ive had a gut full of watching it. I don't care how much effort he puts in. Get rid of him.
Id be sending billings out before ross

Music to my ears from ratts:

"We'll probably get a tougher draw and we might get some injuries, there'll be different challenges for our footy club next year," he said.

"You've got to put yourself out there. Do you want to be good or do you want to be great?

"We need to keep pushing the boundaries and sometimes we will fail, but we'll fail having a crack.

"We'll go for a few things in the trade period.

"It'd be good to get another midfielder in, that would really help us, and maybe pushing them more into the forward line so we could get some more goal-scoring power as well."

So ecstatic we aren't going to play it careful and are going to push all of chips onto the table in a genuine crack at a flag in the next few years.

We'd go backwards if all we did was low risk stuff like bring in caldwell and stop there.

The goal isn't to simply improve the team each year.
The goal is to improve the team each year above and beyond the improvement all other finals teams will have had as well.

So happy to see ratts is smart enough to know that small improvements (by taking low risks) actually sends us backwards.
Ratts basically announced Caldwell

Ratts even said at the start of this hear he wanted to get Gresh forward a lot more but it didn't eventuate.

A forward line of Buter, Gresham and Billings a bit more would be very damaging.
Billings... are you joking?

Next year is a contract year from Billings.
He’s going to play unreal as usual.
Keep him and play him forward 75% of the time and a run through the middle at times like we did in 2017.

He had 60 (!!!) shots on goal that year but kicked 23.36 (smh lol) and god know how many oof/kicks that came short.

His best role is him as the high half forward that can run in and finish on goal.
Hes never been a consistently accurate fwd. Another bruce.

Why do you want to trade our good players?
Because He is a good average player at best
Not just for the sake of it only if it makes our list better,
As good as we have been this year we need to keep improving to go to the next level

After yet another season of elite football without missing a single game, (just turned 32) Todd Goldstein has now missed less than 5 games in the last 11 years of football.

Not saying he's a good fit for us now, but maybe in 12 months time we'd look at a 33 year old goldy as a replacement for ryder?

Gawn. UFA at the end of 2021.

I'm not trading Billings for draft picks, there is no point trading him for that in my opinion- The only time I'd trade him would be if he is part of a trade for a star big bodied mid (Taranto or C.Oliver type)
We aren't trading for dp's

At his best he is one of the most dangerous and damaging outside players in the comp. And his worst he is still a good player.

His form dropped off this year once he positioned kept being moved around every game, and he never regain his form from the first half of the season where he was very good. And even in this form drop off, he had standout quarters where he was trying to drag us across the line.

Last night wasn't his best game. Those two shots on goal he missed were very costly. They go through the goals and he would have been one of our best. They didn't, but he was still far from being one of our worst. And the amount of hate he has go today is completely ridiculous and unwarranted.

We dont improve by trading out match winning players. Or players universally recognised as our hardest workers and the person who sets the stands off the field. We don't improve by trading someone who Ratten described on Thursday as the person who brought together and drove the group to push themselves over the shut down period.

one can always dream...
Well it is interesting. He got 150k a year as an ambassador. If he left he needed to pay back the ambassador money for that year.

If he left today he loses 150k and forfiets 300k, next year loses 150k and forfiets the last 150k.
However ambassador money is now out of GC salary cap. Lukocious is also getting the same deal so GC has lost at least 2.5% in SC over the next three years.

So does that give us a chance to snare Ben King before 2022?
Well more likely than prior to covid-19.

I don't understand the want to move Lonie on, it's very unlikely that we'd get a pick or player that would make it worthwhile.

He was quiet last night but was instrumental in getting us into that semi final, has been as good as butler in his past month.

Just give him 2 years and sign him up.

You obviously rate him a lot higher than me
IMO at his best he is a good player at his worst he is very average
Has he ever made AA ? won a B&F ? That's what the most damaging players in the comp do
Been no hate, just footy discussion on making our list best
I Support the jumper more than the player
