Rozee and Butters will both be guns. Georgiadis will be very good along with Jones who they will get this year. They have the talent to replace the older guys. Maybe pick up one or 2 free agents in the next few years, I think they are still top 8 material.

Georgiadis needs to get on the park.

They'll be ok but they need a key forward as Marshall isn't it and Dixon gets shown up against good sides. Defence is small and nearly as bad by foot as ours.

Their matchwinners are their older players, and they've got a lot of salary tied up with them.

Not sold on Butters yet. He was putrid tonight. Rozee close to BOG with a bit of polish and less flopping.

Hard thing to get out of your game once it starts. I see a bit of Sloane in Butters actually. Will punch above his size but needs capable big bodies around to protect him.

Rozee's hilarious reaction to the dropped mark wasn't in the highlights. We're going to need a recording of the full game.

in 2018 and 2019.. in both years having a soft draw port got to about round 16 and then shat the bed going from being in the top four to dropping out of the 8 completely..

the only difference this year is the H/A rounds only went to round 18..

so the pretenders used this little covid advantage to help them made the finals and then the choke came.

next year they will have the hard draw and a full H/A season.. and all their good mature players will be another year older.

got a feeling they’ll not even make the 8... but time will tell.

The word choke is used way to often, and not in the correct context IMO. They won their first final, and were valiantly defeated by 6pts in their second final, in a game that was close all night, and they even had the first 2 goals kicked against them.

It's not like they were undefeated all year and went out in straight sets, nor were they 5 goals in front tonight. Removed your Port hatred and you will see that it wasn't a choke at all.

They will be amongst the major contenders again next year, sorry to disappoint you.

Port were a kick away in 2014 with a young, exciting list. Since then, they made the finals once in 2017 which was a first week exit. With the amount of talent Port have had at their disposal, they have grossly underachieved and this was likely their last chance to grab a flag with this mob. Ebert has retired, the Hoff is gone and Gray, Boak and Dixon (despite the latter 2 having great seasons) are not far away from the end.

They pissed away the opportunity and the cliff is just around around the corner, and **** it will be glorious. Also, a shout-out to the ******** Duursma was giving Lynch lip all night but dropped a sitter in front of goal. Bow and arrow that one .

I can't see what all the fuss is about with Marshall. I have seen very little from him, not that I've watched a heap of Port games.

They still rely way too much on Dixon and are so predictable going forward, which is why he gets double or triple teamed.

I love how people's hatred completely clouds their judgement to be able to make an unbiased opinion.

They were 'hyped up' because they finished top, much like we were in 2017.
Charlie wasn't great tonight, but it wasn't a night for key forwards. He didn't kick the second highest amount of goals for the year by accident. Yes he's overrated by many, but 'rubbish' is OTT.
Gray has had an ordinary year by his standards but is (maybe was) a superstar.
Jonas has had an awesome year and is a great leader, part of the reason for their success this year.

I bet you are more relieved that they didn't make the GF rather than gloating in the knowledge that you 'knew' they wouldn't
