If he's only producing 10% more than 2016, don't you think this board would have been unanimous in wanting to keep him? How are you even measuring that?
Numerically?

Hindsight....
Also makes our midfield/flanks slower, Richmond to further exploit that.
Although the last three I agree with.
Often should never have played.
Brisbane have the perfect set up for his style of play.
We had to shoehorn him in.

Good work Champion DataNumerically?
Good work Champion Data
It's called watching football. How exactly would you like me to measure it champ?
It's called watching football.
Football stats are there to assist you in assessing given areas of someone's game e.g. fewer contested possies backs up the idea that they're being used more on the outside etc etc.
You've based the 10% improvement on 1 single variable. That's like saying the population grew by 1% therefore house prices will go up by 1%.
Lyons would be pushed out to the flank, Atkins role.Millera and Galluci over Kelly and Mackay and you think that makes us slower?
Do you 'empricially measure' each player? I normally just watch them play and subjectively judge their performance.Ok let me empirically measure that... oh wait.
Ideally Atkins is not the answer either. It doesn't make our midfield slower, because guys like Atkins shat themselves and caused endless turnovers.
A guy with no legspeed that can get the ball forward is better than a quick midfielder who gets caught holding the ball in the center of the ground
This “you can’t play them in the same side” is just a fairytale made up to defend an incorrect position.
At one stage we had CEY, Greenwood and M Crouch in the side - all of who are either slower and/or more one dimensional this Lyons.
He was already a quality player when we gave him away - as Champion Data tweeted when he was floated as trade bait for Gibbs.
Giving him away was a clear balls up, and people should stop trying to justify it.

I don't think you understand what unanimous means. The good judges were unanimous.

My group is those who don't think he's only slightly better now than he was at the crows.Maybe you see yourself in a group that you don't belong in.

Let's not forget we did offer him a contract. Which was level with his place in the side at that moment.

The contract offered wasn't on level with a best 22 who just had a breakout season
I think it was below the average, rather than the minimum. The rumors seemed to indicate it was barely above the minimum contract for an AFL listed player.

Still a pretty insulting deal.
