Cox for Milne iirc due to GT

and Sam Mitchell .( another GT mistake )
Ben Cousins was the massive missed call for me. FFS I think we even presented him a jumper

Imagine him on a HFF in 09/10 ... Nobody can convince me that call wouldn't have made the difference on GF day.

We nearly burned the club to the ground just after that period anyway, so who cares what the fallout might have been.

Not surprising, was given a few games there in the back of the year and didn't really seem like he was up to it.

Tough call, but I can understand it.

Amateurs; clowns! Recruiting the CEO’s son 🙄

Should’ve appointed Shane Martin CEO and we’d be swimming in flags by now 👍🏻

UNLUCKY

St Kilda

The Saints’ rise from 14th to the finals was already impressive, but it’s even more so when you consider they were battling a big swing in close game luck.

After going 3-2 in close games in 2019, Brett Ratten’s side went an AFL-worst 1-4 in 2020.

Tight losses to North Melbourne (two points), Fremantle (six points), Brisbane (three points) and Melbourne (four points) meant Saints fans had to wait until the last home and away round to see if they would play finals.

But in reality St Kilda was clearly one of the six best teams this year - their percentage of 116.2 was just behind West Coast’s, and almost 10 points higher than Collingwood, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs - but their record of 10-7, matching the Dogs, just didn’t show it.

They should be better than 1-4 in close games next year. So if you’re looking for reasons to back the Saints to push into the top four in 2021, here you go.

One of the most enjoyable games of the Cho dynasty. We weren't a powerhouse but we had our moments.

I remember that game well. Hickey started it, his holding-the-ball tackle on Robert Murphy kick-started our comeback.
