Seems to lose his opponent easily and seems out of position a lot.
He shouldn't be a #1 key defender but he's capable at shutting down the secondary key talls.

Surely the long term goal has to be to get a few tall kids to grow together ie/ bzt, brand, ried or Cox etc for the long term health of our key position stocks. They can learn the ropes the next few years whilst Hooker and Hurley and Ambrose are still there whilst allowing them to get their bodies AFL ready.

.

one of your love child’s Eth. He’s no good, otherwise I’d reckon he’d still be in Melbourne’s list 🤷‍♂️ I look forward to you telling me why he’s so good
Because I think he's a decent stopper? Christ, not everything's an agenda.

No but you’re clearly bias towards a lot of average players and it shows. Why has he been delisted? Soft, plays from behind to often and can’t spoil to save him self. Has been pushed out by recruits and better younger up and comers. I often don’t like the argument of “well why has he been delisted then!?” But it’s kinda relevant here. He’s no good and no better than Zerk.

Not really. He got delisted because they couldn't get his brother's salary off the books and Goodwin plays favourites, of which he isn't one. I really question how much you've seen him play to give you the impression that he's soft, but you stated your opinion and I respect that, but it's clear that you just want to throw cheap insults at me.

Sorry about the insults if you took it that way. Not my intention to attack someone on the internet..

Regarding Omac tho, a 2 minute scan of the Melbourne also backs up what I said. He’s no good, I reckon Trengrove will be more likely to get a gig somewhere as a stop gap.

Is there a realistic option to pay-out contracts and delist players? If so, given the leniency with pay-out costs this year and with list changes, there would be a good case to pay-out and turf Cutler (as well as delisting Townsend) to free up space some kids. No sense having them stuck on our reduced list just so they can spud it up in the magoos for a year.

We should of offically offered pick 7 and 8 for dunkley and ask for a future second in return. It would of been interesting and most likely the bulldogs would of knocked it back because of JUH but the media would of had a field day saying "knocked back 2 top 10 picks for 5th best mid at the club"

Dunkley is not their 5th best midfielder. He the one who is unlucky enough to be versatile and below the other guy who is versatile (i.e. Bont).

He was probably their best performed mid in 2019 before being shuffled around and some injury troubles in 2020.

If I was ranking the Dogs best mids, being the guys who I think play the best football, it would start with Bont and then Dunkley. Smith is still a boy but it's only a matter of time before he's the one pressing the top 2. Macrae is up there on the weight of numbers but he's not a style of player I love. Libba is probably 5th as the clearance specialist.

There is best midfielder in stats and best in value to the team. No one performed close to as statistically well as he did last year but the team functioned a lot better without him in the guts. Can't put a price on ability to use the ball spreading from the stoppage.

Dogs seemed to be pretty good in the second half of 2019. I don't see much difference between their 2019 and 2020.

I think they were a much better team this year because they did it without Naughton firing a shot. Last year he was carrying their entire forward line.

Townsend & Crauford delisted
Gleeson & Clarke similar with intent to rookie them.

Makes for an interesting draft strategy

strange, why wouldnt we wait til after the draft to delist townsend and Crauford? I think it shows hand we are definitely drafting a key forward like Mcdonald or Thilthorpe.
