As God is my witness, finding anything useful on the AFL.com.au site is practically impossible, may whoever designed it burn in hell.

i think earliest he will go is Essendons pick 8. I doubt Hamish would show enough courage to overlook him at 9 if available, but it's possible.
Dont think ive ever seen a draft where a player is genuinely considered a pick 1 contender by "experts" a week out from draft night, yet could conceivably drop to early teens.
Crazy stuff.

Bulldogs are getting ready for a pick 1 bid, it's looking likely.

Let them have the pick 1 pressure. We get the same player at pick 2 but minus the pick 1 pressure, it's a beautiful thing.
Hilarious that you think whoever you think goes pick 2 won’t have any pressure on him to perform because your club made a bid for JUH at 1 😂😂.

Nah, there'll be pressure...just not as much as JUH.
Could be another Paddy McCartin or Jack Watts

Nice story on JUH last night though, I think it was on 7.30 about the work he is doing in his community. Seems a ripper lad.

I think I’ve settled with us taking McDonald. Least injury prone, the ‘experts’ rate him as best prospect and probably the safest of the 3. Can’t overthink it, I know I have been haha

You still haven't...

The AFL Draft Central team are great but they wouldn't be privy to the actual medical records of these draftees unlike the medical staff at the AFL clubs who get to run their eyes over their medicals. Not sure with the Covid restrictions if the club medicos have had access to do the in depth personal physical checks like in recent years either.

Obviously the Draft Central team wouldn't have access to medical records, but if there was anything adverse to have popped up from medicals then it's quite possible they're close enough to catch more info than the rest of us.

That Pick 1-10 draft range seems unusual to me for it to be based purely on talent.

Just needs a bit more balance:

Essendon picks 6,7 & 8
NM picks 2, 12 & 30
Ade picks 1 & 9

becomes

Essendon picks 1, 12 & 30 (possibly McDonald, O’Driscoll & ???)
NM picks 7, 8 & 9 (possibly Perkins, Bruhn & Cox/Reid)
Ade picks 2 & 6 (possibly Holland’s & Tillthorpe)

Make it happen!

Assuming North's pick 2 can't be dislodged.
How about:

Ade picks 1, 9, 23 & 40
Syd picks 3 & 2021 2nd rounder
Haw pick 4
Coll picks 14, 16 & 2021 1st rounder

becomes

Ade picks 3, 4 & 16
Syd pick 1 - ensure they get a pick in before a Campbell bid
Haw pick 14 & 2021 1st (Coll) - turn 1 first round pick into 2, bank on Coll slipping next year
Coll picks 9, 23, 40 & 2021 2nd (Syd) - get a pick in before McInnes bid, points for McInnes, points for Daicos next year

Or take out picks 16 & 23 if the above is too much in our favour.

Waaaaay too many moving parts.

I think it’s pretty obvious that if we take Holland’s we take him and if we take McDonals we don’t. Our midfield is too poor to take 2 talls.
You’re treating this as a one year rebuild

we won’t be rebuilt after this draft

the smarter thing to do would be take the 2 best players at those picks and if they happen to be McDonald at 1 and Thilthorpe at 9 yes we may stink next year but we also will have pick 1 or similar to take a Horne

we also have those early 20s picks this year and who’s to say we won’t get a very good mid there

and have our tall forward structure set for years

Sydney have announced that apparently they'll bid at 3 on Jamarra if he's still there

Word is we will bid on Braeden Campbell if he's still there at 9.
