Is this the sort of press conference we can look forward to for the next 4 years? FMD.

At least they hold them. And we will see if they continue to hold them regularly, or if they just don't have them if they know they are going to get asked questions they don't like. Like Trump used to do

Trump not pardoning the people who were charged storming the Capitol has bothered me more than anything else he has done the last four years. Like, they did what they did because he told them to, and in return they get to watch him pardon a couple of random black rappers, and a few swamp creatures. A couple hundred people have thrown their lives away just because a narcissist told them too, and when he had the opportunity to return the favour he fuucks them off. In normal circumstances I'd be laughing my arse off but for whatever reason this made me feel uncomfortable.
Hahaha, you are kidding right? You see this is the problem, anyone who believes Trumps bullshit is also so deceived that they think this man gives any kind of **** about another human being on the planet. He is the epitome of a narcissistic psychopath and would gladly trade the lives of those closest to him to hold onto power.
Trump would only be dropping himself in the mire by pardoning these imbeciles (who btw deserve everything they get thrown at them) as it may come back to bite him on the arse if they go after him for inciting the insurrection. He is now trying to get as much distance as he can from his supporters to save his pathetic arse. He also knows that they are so blindly loyal and brain dead to have followed him this far, despite the constant and obvious lies he feeds them that he could take a dump in their hands, ask them to clap and they would give him a standing ovation. That is just how stupid and deluded your average Trump supporter is and he knows that loyalty is a one way street with him so why stick his neck out?

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed an article of impeachment for Joe Biden

She is accusing the president of corruption and abuse of power, alleging that he “allowed” his son, Hunter Biden, “to siphon cash from America’s greatest enemies Russian and China.”

She's also a QAnon believer. It's worth noting her chances are slim to nil of this getting approved.

Happy to see the GOP is serious in their calls for unity.

Certainly Joe has made decisive steps in healing the divide :poo:

Jen Psaki: Question the new White House Press Secretary can’t answer (news.com.au)

The next reporter pressed her further, not on the filibuster specifically, but on Mr Biden’s rhetoric about bipartisanship.

“There has been this call to unity yesterday, but there has so far been no fig leaf to the Republican Party. You don’t have a Republican Cabinet member like President Obama had, you don’t – the executive orders that he’s come out of the gate (with) have been largely designed at erasing as much of the Trump legacy as you can with executive orders,” he said.

“Where is the actual action behind this idea of bipartisanship, and when are we going to see one of those substantial outreaches that says, ‘This is something that the Republicans want to do too’?”

Oh I think I see the problem here. You thought calls for unity meant the Dems wouldn’t enact their agenda.

You continue to be as gullible as ever, mate. Kudos.

Hasn't tried!

It sounds, from your News Corp source, that party reps are talking but the Republicans won’t budge over the removal of the filibuster.

I’d love to hear a rationale for why that should still even be a thing. “Because otherwise that Mr Smith movie would be out of date”?

Biden's new Whitehouse Youtube channel going well already.

Had to turn comments feature off on several videos within a few hours as they were running almost all negative.

It’s intended to allow (in most instances) for the minority party to have their say. In the best of circumstances it creates incentives for bipartisan legislation. I’d like to see it stay. And I think it will given the current 50-50 split, with at least one centrist Dem on record as being against removing it (Joe Manchin).

Of course there are times when one party holds the necessary supermajority (60 seats) to defeat a filibuster. The period when Affordable Care Act was passed was such a time.

I suspect if the Dems had won a few extra Senate seats, the filibuster would have been nuked this morning.

Who said he was the most popular president in history? Genuine question

I find it baffling that Cranky of all people appears ignorant to the concept of trolling.

GOP, the party of personal responsibility and consequences :tearsofjoy:

Also an amazing mention of executive orders designed at erasing the previous admin. Missed Trump's first few days in office I take it, outstanding consistency yet again :tearsofjoy:

Surely there’s a better mechanism to achieve that, though?
