List Mgmt. Bews and Stephens re-sign

Think that with the newbies, the club looks to sign them to a 3-year deal off the bat or for those who sign for 2-years, it tends to be a 2-year extension or thanks for your services

Jarvis getting a 1-year last year when it was his first time out of contract, is one of the few I can think of to be given only a 1-year extension
Jarvis has shown glimpses of class but there will be list pressure at the end of the season. Being a forward will count in his favour.

I reckon every time I see Jarvis play he does one or two things that really stand out and capture my attention, but then drifts completely out of the game. Kind of like Rohan, without the blistering speed and accurate kicking.

He's got some good attributes - e.g. strong overhead and good hang time on his leaps - but he needs to put it all together more consistently.

Happened in his one senior game thus far as well. Really struggled to get involved for much of the game (still, he wasn't alone there) and then pulled down a ripper of a mark. Went back and absolutely butchered the relatively straightforward shot at goal and then wasn't sighted again.

I too see the potential. But he might be one of the group that is most suffering with the limited development available for our young tyros as a result of the VFL program being crushed through much of 2020 and 2021. There is something there but I don't know whether he's going to be held long enough on the list for us to see whether it can actually develop into something meaningful.

Reckon he's in real danger of being gone at the end of the season

Kudos to Jed for making a decent career out of what, even he must admit, are quite limited talents.

I’m somewhat reassured that Cooper has been given another couple of years. I was starting to get worried and hope his body gives him a chance.
I'm not sure there is limited talent. I'd suggest more likely is 1) time 2) maturity/confidence 3) support. He has always had what he has now but I think 1) and 2) are the critical ones

He has limited talent. I suspect he works very hard and as I acknowledged he has made a good career from the talent at his disposal. It’s a good story.

Anyone that has achieved a best 22 spot and/or a contract extension has done well for themselves regardless of whether they are a superstar or not .countless rookies let alone the thousands that dream of being on a AFL list would kill for that .

Bews and cooper have done very well

Probbly too early but what similar player would he play like?
Joel Corey.
Super strong through the core. Wide depth of handball.
Must admit I love those players. Too much in close handballs these days. Need players that can break it open.

Corey was never a great kick. But boy could he win it and distribute it.

Corey had clean hands. Stephens is fumbles galore

based on your extensive viewing of him at games?

Oh wait.. you keep telling us he's hardly played as he's always injured so which is it? Always hurt or always fumbles?

GO Catters

The only limited talents Jed bews had was his kicking.
super speed, big body, the best shimmy in the team.

bews is dripping with skills. Except in one key area.
