We totally fu** over a coach who has had no support through a covid riddled, injury riddled past 2 years and replace him with a bloke who runs a game plan that was semi successful over 10 years ago which is horribly out dated and already failed at another club. Lyons last 4 years at Freo resulted in ladder finishes of 16th, 14th, 14th and 13th before getting sacked. Cmon people seriously.

Buckleys coaching tenure outside 2 good years in 2018 and 2019 was poor and he got sacked...has not done an apprenticeship to improve elsewhere.

Clueless.

Unfortunately all the best coaches with the winning records have jobs.

There's nobody available who has a coaching record that's not similar to the above two.

One's opinion on Liddle is basically a football Rorschach test.

I have always liked that he's an outsider. Financial position is good. And yet he oversaw some really terrible key appointments.

He came in and got them into finals the first 4 years, but at the end of that, he had McPharlin retired, Pavlich 34, Sandilands 33, Johnson 31, Pearce 30, Mundy 30 and replacements like Pearce were still too far away in their development. It's the chance you take. You get a good list, you try to get it there and he nearly did, but you are not at the top end of the draft and you have to go down, hit the draft and wait. Now we see some really good players coming on for Freo, but that down period cost Ross his job.

Had 12 of his 17 10+ goals losses in that time. Not keen on this one to be honest. If you sack Teague then open it up for applications.
