You'll never guess what the 2021 free kick differential chart looks like

In the 2016 Grand Final, in two and a half quarters the Bulldogs got 15 free kicks while the Swans got 1. Not random.

Chair of the AFL Commission yelled at the Swans Chair, you won't win a flag while Buddy plays for you. Are you starting to get suspicious?

Umpires rarely determine outcomes to games. In 2016 they helped the Bulldogs win two home and away games they wouldn't have with fair umpiring. They wouldn't have made finals without those wins. See the comments by Hawthorn and GWS supporters about the other finals that year. They were such a great team they missed finals in 2017 and 2018. Maybe someone can check if that was random?

🤣🤣 you salty loser. We beat you twice in 2016. The first away from home, where the free kick count was even. Couldnt even beat us with even free kicks, AND AT THE SCG.

The AFL were shattered that Franklin chose Sydney over GWS. They really wanted him at the Giants. Ablett towed the line at went to GC, they were stoked about that. As you pointed out, WB got 15 free kicks to Sydney’s 1. That’s not just random.

You couple that with Newbold stating he wanted the WB to win a flag, and then after the fact an ‘apology’ from the AFL for the poor umpiring. Not to mention the constant WB free kick counts since and it becomes more than a coincidence.

Care to explain that one genius?

I have repeatedly up the thread.

Come back to me when you've done that, and keep a civil tongue in your head child.

And the fact the Dogs had a mountain of debt of they were sinking beneath.

Didn’t realise you could get free kicks for around the neck by not competing for the ball. Perhaps they get them behind play. Or perhaps they chase an invisible ball. Strange.

Absolutely horrible. At half time they should have been castigated by the head of umpiring for the way they carried on in that half of football.
How has this game not been investigated for corruption? It was the most blatant cheating I have seen in a game. I actually wanted the dogs to win that game as well.

Lachie Hunter, Coidy Weightman and Toby McLean have certainly grasped this metaphysical truth

Sydney up there with Geelong as my most loathed sides, but clearly got a more royal shafting than Virginia.

If your putting *'s next to GF's then this clearly deserves ****.

So I make it four * to the Bullies and only 3 * to WC = Bullies are the most ****ed GF club.

Thread about 2021 free kick differential.

Dogs get favoured, there’s corruption.

Brings up specific dogs players who flop even though own players do it also.

Forgets own players also do it. Then goes hiding.

Changes subject to degree of flop.

Changes subject to quantity of flop.

Changes subject to tactics.

Changes subject to free kicks without the ball in hand.

Changes subject to 2016.

Changes subject to an AFL official who wanted dogs to win it.

Changes subject to dogs debt.

Enjoyable thread peeps!

Yes they get a free with the ball in their hands, which means they’ve competed for the ball. Try again hey.
No, it doesn’t stack up. That’s a rubbish argument you keep spouting. I don’t think it’s argued they don’t compete, but they don’t get penalised for incorrect disposal, they get free kicks for innocent ‘pushes’ in the back, and they are experts at dropping the knees to draw a free.

Complete garbage. We finished 3 games clear of 8th and 9th on the ladder. 15 wins for us and North and St Kilda were on 12. We also knew this before our last game which we lost. So, even if the umpires did somehow help us win 2 games that year (please elaborate which ones - I need a laugh), it would have made no difference, we still would have finished 7th on the ladder.

I do enjoy how salty you lot are STILL over your perceived unfair loss in 2016. You all fail to see the irony of this in the light of winning your only 2 flags since the roman empire was in full swing (not sure of exact timing) because of your extra salary cap COLA rubbish that gave you an unfair advantage over the rest of the competition..

Hunter gets done for too high after getting the ball. I consider that “competing”.

No, they run into the contest and immediatley fling their heads back and fall to the ground as if shot by an invisible sniper.

On occasion, they may even have the ball. Usually not.

A good example was Weightman running intro Draper.

Lol. Weightman got up and went to go get the ball thinking there was no free. HAHA. This is too fun.

Nothing more certain than Weightman finishing his career with the record for greatest proportion of goals kicked from frees (excluding blokes who’ve only kicked like one goal). Not that it means anything at all, but it’ll definitely happen.

The reason people are referencing historical incidents is because there are examples that have occurred previously and clearly that has carried through to 2021. It’s been an issue for a while.

Why is there still a free kick differential in 2021 when 5 years ago you were obviously favoured in the GF? It’s an issue you have exacerbated and your players are clearly taught to exploit the ruling.

Are you seriously going to argue that Andrew Newbold, the AFL CC at the time, was not out of line saying he wanted a Dogs flag? This is the AFL CC. That just completely contravenes any element of neutrality.

That’s a terrible example . Neither Draper or Weightman did anything wrong. Just a poor umpiring decision.
