Bailey deserves all the credit coming his way, but it's pretty funny how some of you make this call when Walsh hasn't even played in a final.
Plus I didn't see Smith be an AA, come 2nd in the MVP or be one of the favourites for the Brownlow.
Needs to be more consistent to be considered a true A grader like Walsh, but I don't see why there even has to be a 'winner' out of this debate.

Brings me back to a simpler time, when mullets were generally accepted and expected on the footy field.

Tbf Walsh would probably dominate a final too, kids built for them. But yes Smith has gone next level past few weeks, can’t wait to see him in a granny

Why is Smith considered so unlikable? Is it because he plays with a bit of flair and is good looking and has a shit haircut?
The bloke plays footy the way it should be played and is extremely down to earth and likeable when he speaks. Does it really offend you so much that he’s better than you in every way?

I actually have had a run in with Smith in pre season in Electric lounge bathoom in Melbourne. Genuinely one of the biggest tossers ive ever met in my life (may have been due to what he was 'on' at the time) I think he's a good player but as a person he is in the absolute bottom tier of people ive met. A big reason I detest the bulldogs as much as I do.
I saw him at a local pub in Carnegie earlier in the year, seemed like a decent enough bloke to me, was happy to have a chat with the locals etc.

Im interested to know what you think footballers actually do in their off seasons? Knit and paint rainbows? Just because a footballer goes clubbing which is completely normal doesnt mean they are a bad person or player. Can ask just about any past player you bump into and all of them have stories of blokes getting absolutely blind at clubs and parties.

I personally would have preferred Smith going in to this season. Though this season Walsh took the next step in his career and inarguably had the better H&A season.
But then comes finals football, and Smith has absolutely announced himself as a big game player.
I think the factors for consideration for both players are:
- Walsh hasn't had the chance to play in big finals as yet
- Smith hasn't had the chance to be the #1 midfielder for his side due to their incredible depth

Look i havent read the rules about spreading derogatory rumours regarding players so if mods see need to delete more than happy for it to be - but me and a couple of mates walked into the bathrooms after a few beers while Bailey was in there snorting a line and wasnt happy that we'd walked in on him and I guess you'd say he 'flexed his muscles' by shoving one of my mates against a wall, had a bit of back and forth with him which ended with us saying hes flog and him threatening us that if we filmed it and put it online he'll find us and beat the shit us. I barely spoke a word to him but in my books thats a flog in every sense of the word
He doesnt really need to become more consistent to be an A grader. Hes in a very good team so can just be a big game player/match winner and will be an alltime great.
FWIW if you read the dogs board match review of the round 23 Port game some of the posters wanted him traded lol
