Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait shit from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

I'm not really a fan of the way Stratton24 has handled himself interacting with others over the trade period, but so far he's been far more accurate than most - this thing of replying to his every post to have a go is kinda weird.
Things I’ve learnt:
We only like our ITKs when they are 100% accurate and only have good news

McEvoy
Breust
Gunston
Hartigan
Mitchell
Wingard
Frost
O'Meara
Shiels

That's 9 players, Shiels and Hartigan no guarantee to be best 22 by Rd 1 next year. So, not strictly accurate.
A number of them are just 28 and then a couple will probably struggle to be in the best 18.

I don't think its terrible, however wouldn't be the worst thing to trade 1-2 of them out (offer and playing willing of course)

I still don't know why we came out so publicly and said if there was offers that suited us we would move on players. I'm sure every player during there reviews would of been told the direction we are moving in and senior players put on notice.

It's good to see I agree but if everyone is fit we go into round 1 with almost half of our starting 18 28 or older.
Fair point but these seniors must also feel that they could see some success before their time is over and we have a number of youngsters that will be pushing for their positions!

The short answer is that we didn't.

Jeff said, as he says every year, to be prepared for things you might not expect, but to trust the people making decisions.

The rest was mass hysteria.

I don't think any poster said certain players WOULD be leaving. They have provided info of interest from certain other clubs. This has turned out to be true and later reported. The trades haven't got done because players haven't agreed.'

I appreciate all the info ITK posters provide.

Is it sustainable to keep up to 9+ players over 27 in our best 22 for a rebuilding side?

Just worry by keeping all of these players, we will miss out on elite draft prospects, how many top 5 or top 10 picks do we have? (need at least 5 more)

If we don't access this draft in bunches, this process can drag into 5 years.

Culture is important however.

Short answer no.
Haritgan,Mcevoy,Shiels are no certainties beyond 22. Chop it down to 6players.

We debut 8+ players last year. There is no way all the senior core are sticking around if they don't see it turning around.

This is so much better than those years when Sam Mitchell was traded to West Coast and Lewis went to Melbourne for literally nothing. Hated watching them in other jumpers (as I continue to hate Isaac Smith).

To an extent I agree, I don't take any notice of what Jeff says and despite how much of a joke the media are the story hasn't been completely made it. The fact that there was a deal in place until bruest refused also shows we were willing.

I don't think there is such a fact.

I think there is something a 'journalist' said...which I strongly suspect is NOT a fact...based on the way Hawthorn do things

Which is to ask Breust FIRST...and then, if he says yes, organise a deal.

Every post? Yeah nah I’ve been at work all day and there’s like 20 pages since yesterday so that’s a pretty flawed point.
A few put their hand up and said it was wrong at the time if you want to buy in to fantasies and make believe that’s your choice.

How do we access these draft picks, with all of these mature players in their prime ensuring we don't bottom out?

Young core of our premierships from 2008: Hodge, Lewis, Roughhead, Cyril, Mitchell, Franklin, Birchall

Young core in 2021: Day, Scrimshaw, DGB, Worpel(even with him I'm unsure if we can be elite or just a good player who peaked).

Next two drafts have to take at least 3 top 10's to build midfield, so bottoming out, may not be such a bad thing to get these picks and games into youngsters.
