My Hat posted a good informative article about the injury and its timeframe 2 pages back for anyone who actually wants to learn about it.
Club says 12 weeks, its 13 weeks to round 1. Considering Russell puts them on a 3-4 week training block, probably looking at round 5. Every pre-season we lose a few, Jones (obviously other reason) and Stocker so far… malakia!!
Depends. Was it strapped, running up and down hills with potholes, etc, then yes.
Apart from that, not much Russell can do. As a poster mentioned earlier, you can do this type of injury stepping on a tennis ball
Was it hiking….
Anything is possible
No one, no one, no one ever….is to blame! Howard Jones
“The 21-year-old suffered the injury after his ankle was caught in a tackle at training, with scans confirming surgery will be the most effective approach for recovery”.

Carlton defender to miss months after tackle goes wrong at training
Liam Stocker will have surgery on his ankle following a medium-grade syndesmosis injurywww.afl.com.au
We will contact you.Our players are to blame every time one of them lays a tackle in a game and the opposition player gets injured from it. The government should think long and hard about banning contact sport.
İt's gonna be a minimum of 1 to 2.weeks.This totally sucks. I wont predict when we will see Stocker or argue with anyone when some of our supporters say he could return by Round 1 and others say it's a 6 month layoff. No one knows and we've been burnt plenty of times before by our optimism about our injured players scheduled returns.
Easily. Syndesmosis lingersThis will be a 9-12 month injury in terms of impact on rehab and form.
