ever been to Pompeii, it was on a mosaic but the joke was probably ripped off the Greeks.
went there once, to the amphitheater of opprobrium.........incredible..........

he posted that comment not even 10 minutes after todays game finished, sorry but thats no excuse.
you've only exposed how moronic your outlook on football and life is.

He's a kid who didn't choose what team he plays for receiving criticism from a total stranger on his personal social media, he's entitled to give whatever throwaway line within reason to tell the troll off.

Get a grip Zee...
He's a 22 year old man... That should have known better, specially 10 minutes after the game...

Is it a punishable offence No...
Did the message + his on field attitude look good No... Specially where North are atm...
Will the coaches and leadership team talk to him about it Yes...

Also think North have a role to play in this...
If he was so down about his Nan (RIP and condolences to the family) which is natural,
they should have been putting their arms around him and not let him play, because he clearly wasn't ready...

All true Zee, but the timing (straight after a game, wouldn't have even done a warm down) and delivery was poor. Must have a fair bit going on his life apart from losing a family member, so hopefully he leans on people he trusts

criticism getting told to get a few more than 3 disposals? i could think of a lot more worse ways to criticise a player than that.

the death of his grandparent excuses his performance but its been a build up of garbage games, training standards have got him dropped (read somewhere he got dropped because he came to training hungover?)
this response just clearly caps off what his mentality is towards football, he's just in it for the money and nothing else, stuff the fans who put in hard earned money to buy memberships, stuff the club who've pretty much mentored him and put a lot of resources into him since he was 16/17 years old.

go to the north board and see how they feel about it all, its a slap in the face to all of em. all that being said i really hope he can turn it all around and play some good footy because when he's on he's bloody exciting to watch.

I play cricket with his old man so i know for a fact he disowned his dad and brothers over something selfish

this probably tells the story, just doesnt give a s**t clearly only in it for money

Big fat NO

I ain't on socials (other than BF) and I've got a really thick skin.

But I can't imagine what it's like for some teenager, young adult to be criticised/abused by strangers on a regular basis.

I have days at work, where despite my best efforts everything just goes to hell in a handbasket. No one kicks me while I'm down.

I know footy players get paid good money and have plenty of support, but we gotta remember they are only human...

and that's why I keep telling you - get the **** out of air-traffic control!!

Caught up with someone yesterday and they mentioned a couple things...

Cunners, Williams and Marchy all working really hard in their rehab, Gov and Martin not so much. The club isn't impressed with their lack of professionalism.

Stocker and Owies have re-signed, just working on the finer details now. Apparently we're also keen on re-signing Motlop before he goes out of contract next year. Cunners was in the process of re-signing earlier on in the season but contract talks have been put on hold until the end of the year after his latest injury setback.

Charlie and Harry opened contract discussions with the club over the bye. As it stands both are keen to stay and are prepared to take unders. Not that anyone should take Cornes seriously but him saying last night on FC that Charlie/Harry are asking for $1.1mil is ludicrous, both will sign for about $800k and it's around the same as what they're currently on. No salary cap squeeze here.

I guess we were sort of expecting it, but things have really cooled on the trades front. If I remember correctly Amon's management are wanting a 6 year contract at about $650-700k a year, we are not interested. We also have about $550k left in cap space before re-signings/retirements/delistings this year.

Our first rounder will be used in the draft and we are looking at a number of KPPs. If we were to pick someone up in the trade period it would be a Hewett/Young style acquisition. Highly doubt we'll be spending big bucks or high picks for anyone. The club understands that depth wise we are 1 KPP short at either end. There's been some talk about this on the list management thread, but internally we rate Mirkov very highly. I personally don't see us picking up another ruckman, but rather a KPF/ruck instead.

That's it, go Blues!

Interesting comments re: Gov and Martin. If that’s in fact the case, I hope it’s reflected at selection.

Any player that isn't working hard on rehab can GAGF.

Doubly so for players that have been paid big money to play intermittently...
You can see it with Gov and Martin. They just lack motivation. Waiting for it happen without any effort. Shame, they both have so much talent

All of that makes sense and is very believable.
