I would state fairly confidently with the list that he has had over 10 years (keeping in mind he traded out talent and kept players like Neade and Sam Gray etc) that any other coach would have at least one premiership. A reasonable one could have 2 or 3.

Whether the players love Ken or not, they'll be fine if he leaves. I also believe players tend to take on the attitudes of their coach. Ken is very "meh, tough comp and someone's gotta lose" and that filters through to the playing group. Bring in a coach with a win at all costs mentality, and that will filter through to most of the players.

You see, this is a large part of the problem - the players are too close to the coach. They're more or less playing for their father each week. If Clarkson were to come on board, those same players would receive a swift kick up the bum that they so desperately need, and would start playing accordingly.

That Conner article is a bit more than a support me coach it reeks again of the club pushing back ala the co captains debacle. Decision made here is us justifying it later to retract as a disaster.

I have two problems with it Connor.

One....No the team won't turn up. We will probably lose the same way we have consistently goaless quarter goals in last 30 seconds, inefficient forwards blah blah blah.

Two what is with the consistent narrative that the only people that they listen to are those within the club. Port has always been great at us against them but it's not the fans against the club morons.

If he stays on the back of a soft draw we probably make finals and he will be a genius to the acolytes but all the same things will still be there... s**t game plan... Three foot key forward.....horrendous skill level.. gaslighting the fans.

This club needs change the players need a new voice or it's more of the same.

And I won't be there.

The good thing about this pressure is that it means there is now pressure and expectation on the last 2 games.

Which means we will probably lose them.

Which makes us more likely to sack Ken.
