We're not in the race for Clarkson no matter what we do. Read the North board, there's an in the know poster giving a blow by blow of everything that is happening. It's all but a done deal.

They are only ahead in the race in the sense that they do not have a coach contracted for 2023. Clarko could have easily committed to them weeks ago, which would have allowed the club to start assistant trading and the ability to sell itself to free agents. Why wouldn’t Clarko, being the operator he is, give himself every possible advantage to succeed and succeed early if he wasn’t going there?

Every time someone pipes up about how successful Richmond is now, doesn't appreciate that they only became successful once they stopped ******* changing coaches every 3-4 years and actually resourced their football department for the long term so they could hit the draft, recruit and develop well. When Terry Wallace took over Richmond in 2005, that wasn't the case:

As long as the club is unified - specifically Koch, Richardson, Davies and Hinkley - in the direction that it wants to take, I don't give a flying * about the supporters. You can all ECO (Emotionally Check Out) like Tigers fans did up until 2017 as far as I'm concerned. A bigger concern for me is getting out of the absolute shitshow that is the SANFL and into a competition that will facilitate the development of our talented players.

I want to be an AFL club like Geelong - where you are always contending for flags every year, and years like 2022 are the aberration due to injuries etc.

Hinkley has missed finals 5 times in 10 years. It's hardly a regular finalist. There has never been a coach to keep coaching 1 side after 10 years without a GF appearance. We will never be successful with him as the coach. This year is not an abberation it's an average season.

For quite a while I've said that Hinkley should not be allowed to build another "new team"
Hinkley has had 3 teams already.

1. The run and gun Burgess team of 2013-2017 when Burgess left Results 5th 3rd 9th 10th

by then Burgess gone and a lot of the speed had been taken out of the team White, Impey, Krakeour, Cornes were all gone

2. Second team was the traded in players

so we had already brought in Ryder and Dixon so then at the end of 2017 we add Motlop, Watts, Rockliff, McKenzie, Trengove pretty much ignoring the draft.
Results were 10th 10th

3 Third team was the team created by the Wingard & Polec trades

at the end of 2018 we trade out Wingard, Pittard & Polec to get Burton, Rozee, Butters & Duursma since then he's been picking off players to boost our draft hand

Results 3rd 3rd 12th

No 4th Team Sack Hinkley

I love all of the 'The Power couldn't afford Clarkson' comments you see around the place. And what, North Melbourne can afford him? The perception that we're still a tiny club that loses millions each year shits me to tears.

Kochie's 'little battler club from Alberton' remarks certainly don't help.

It's my personal belief C4 got fed a deliberately fake 'scoop' by port to weed him out of the industry.

And it's definitely not due to him doing other stuff, or forgetting his password.
