This would be actually amazing
bombers board should resign
they have played this so poorly and have a payout of rutten to come
Rutten to stay and the board and new president stand down from there positions is what should happenThe way how Rutten has handled him self reckon he wouldn't have an issue staying at Essendon imo he just seems thst type of bloke. nothing but my respect will grow for him if he stays could be the making of Rutten as coach
I hope so.He just played 5 VFL games in a row
He’s fine

Good to see that delusion is still strong in some bomber fans .Now you know that’s not true. Don’t be so absurd.
I reckon scoops from AFL trade rumours, results on FB could do a better job than RobboThe biggest deadshit in footy media, also has the most circulation. It's incredible.
AgreeRutten to stay and the board and new president stand down from there positions is what should happen
They are like us in the 70s too. A rabble.Essendon remind me of Richmond in the deep dark days of the 80's. But plus the doping scandal, so in some respects its worse.
Too many people making really poor decisions which hold the club back. And it seemingly just keeps rolling on and on and on.
This stuff takes decades to change and still, 22 years after their last flag we haven't seen things bottom out (or perhaps we just have).
I hope so.
Whatever sickness he had in summer sounded really bad and he sounds lucky to be still kicking.
Good to see that delusion is still strong in some bomber fans .
Your clubs the biggest laughing stock in the league m8
Interesting analysisSimply not true
Think it not analysis.Interesting analysis
The slow realisation that your club is a jokeThink it not analysis.
Emotional reaction.
You guys literally imploded at the thought of getting Clarkson, the ceo basically destroyed the whole football department to get him and this fantasy was based off an off the cuff comment.I understand your delusional view is because you’re riding the rainbow of joy of Clarkson comin in.
Give the dog a bone and all of that ..
The slow realisation that your club is a joke
Nah he just has that Eddie/Buckley bordering on obsession thing going on with Hird.Sometimes it's tempting to think Slobbo is a secret clandestine Carlton or Collingwood fan, who just wants to see Essendon burn![]()
Definitely the biggest laughing stock at the momentGood to see that delusion is still strong in some bomber fans .
Your clubs the biggest laughing stock in the league m8
LOL not going to find that in the Essendon membership. All they really need is a sensible, humble and straightforward President rather than these look at me strong men who think Essendon is a powerhouse.
Definitely the biggest laughing stock at the moment
But a massive supporter base, they'll always be powerful no matter how clueless the administration
Sadder might be the club next year.It is a sad way for Hurley to go out.
Hopefully the guys health can goto some normality soon.
Ross Lyon had a huge amount of input with list management and apparently was always trying to step over the top of them at st kilda. How do you think that would work with dodoroWho knows what’ll happen next, difficult to predict what the bombers will do at any point tbh.
But Rutten can’t stay, and the board can’t seriously expect this upheaval and then keep him on. So they’re looking for a new coach, and it probably can’t be an unknown/inexperienced/young assistant coach given they’ve undermined the current one with that profile.
So it’s someone with senior coaching experience, who’ll be a big enough name to pacify the fan base and take the pressure in his stride. Someone who can fix up their defensive failings would be useful too.
I’d expect Lyon to be top of the list once this all settles down. I don’t think that’s the right decision for them personally but if there’s a market for it I’ll put a few bucks on him.
Generally if something this stupid was put forward, it would be laughed off. But it’s like that this clubs stupidity is only exceeded by their hubris, so you just couldn’t rule it outAnd on and on it goes.

Hird back to the Bombers? Matthew Lloyd shares his thoughts on whether that's a good idea - 3AW is Football
Mark Robinson is reporting there are senior figures at Essendon who are "entertaining" the idea of trying to get James Hird back as coach of the club.omny.fm

You missed the player interviews Merrett/Hurley, they’re pissed at how the club handled it..
this won’t wash away anytime soon, so yeah have another internal review because
