Cliched, but I don't think the result of this game is nearly as important as the effort and heart shown by the players.

If they work their guts out and still lose by 10 goals, I'll be content...

You would seriously be content losing by 10 goals?

Take a look here and then tell me why not would we expect to lose? What players do you have out of the squad? Josh Carr suspended and Longmuir our for the season. The others I honestly don't really know even who they are (no disrespect).

I was commenting on Big Member who would be happy with a 10 goal loss. Even with those injuries i would not be happy with a 10 goal loss even if the effort was "up to par". Cant believe the injuries down at the saints tho, i doubt you guys have had your best 22 available all at once for a few seasons. Always someone out. Anyway, should be a good game, usually is freo v saints. Hope you dont have any more injuries. Good luck

Isn't Ferguson also injured?

And when has a team lost by 10 goals while they have still worked their guts out... A team not just a Harvey?

You would know Brett Peake, surely?

Anyway, you guys have certainly been decimated, and our injury list does not compare to yours by any stretch of the imagination. Although we do have a few guys still a couple of weeks away who are returning from injury through the WAFL and not yet able to be considered - Schammer, Thornton, Haddrill who would all crack a game in our best 22 (or go very close); and of course there is the "non-availability" of Jeff Farmer... So we are probably missing at least 6 of our best 22.

Hope it's a good game - it's so disheartening as a supporter watching your seconds side out there, and just hoping for a good showing. Best of luck (you never know your luck with Freo... :o ).

:)

Good luck guys.... I know you guys are decimated by injury but we will also be missing Justin Longmuir, Jeff Farmer, Josh Carr, Brett Peake and Byron Schammer so we are hardly at full strength.

I'm sure Brett Peake is a big name in Catalonia, of course he should know who he is. ;)

I can't say I'm looking forward to the game but I also don't want to get into a discussion about honourable losses like a few of our supporters have done. As difficult as it will be I want to see whatever team we put on the field do everything they can to win. Despite the injury toll we still have some potential matchwinners and if they can all fire who knows what might happen.

Spot on Sainter. I would walk away from the game if I thought the aquad was sitting in the rooms preparing for an honorable loss. We have a very good chance against Freo tonight. They are about to implode, and we can put them over the edge. Mark Harvey's plan is coming to fruition!;)
