I like Hayward a lot but he isn't going to be a top 20 player in the competition. I could see him reaching top 50, but not top 20.
I don't even see him getting much better than he already is, and that's perfectly fine. He's a fantastic role player but those two years injured and out of form kinda ended the expectations I had for him in 2018

I mean this is in the nicest way possible, but I'm glad for Florent's sake he's good at football
Florent being asked if he liked Bon Jovi and Florent saying "no I hate Italian food" is deadset one of the funniest things I have ever heard still to this day.

Sweet Caroline: GWS chairman Tony Shepherd drafts US ambassador Caroline Kennedy for Giants - so perhaps not the song.
You missed the best bits. :)

.....a curiosity to see Kennedy on Saturday drafted into supporting the Swans’ (admittedly manufactured) rival squad, the Greater Western Sydney Giants.

and more seriously,
Last year, on ABC Radio, (AFL chairman) Goyder told former AFL coach Mick Malthouse that he wouldn’t read The Boys’ Club, which examined the AFL’s cronyism, alleged workplace treatment of female staff, nepotism and drug scandals. “It’s not a book that I respect,” he said at the time.

We’re told some of Goyder’s female colleagues on the AFL commission took the book much more seriously.

As Donald Rumsfeld said "..there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns"and then if you are the AFL there are things we pretend we don't know.

eight AFL.com.au reporters from across the country cast their votes to predict who would make the final team later this week.

spoiler. Heeney made it onto the interchange!

Four key forwards LOL

Let's be honest, if the All Australian team that's named every year was an actual team, they would finish 18th on the ladder every damn time.

Mills is the one Swan I feel is a lock. I'd have him over Walsh on the wing

surely warner makes the AA ... despite his form, even until a month or so ago i'd have thought it probably just a bit of wishful thinking but geez, there have not been many better, consistently, over the season ...

So turns out the article Cameron Ling wrote on Mills a few weeks ago is part of a series called Unsung Heroes, with Jack Crisp now getting one of his own.

That's mildly disappointing as it just further reinforces that the only way players like Mills will get any notice is if it's part of a condescendingly-themed series where they are defined specifically by how 'unsung' they are.

Mills is not an 'unsung hero'. He's an outright star, and the media shouldn't need a justification for highlighting these kinds of players. Just ******* do it because they deserve it.

Florent saying incredibly dumb things is the gift that keeps on giving :tearsofjoy:

That was a lot of fun.

I can actually imagine Rampe having the most expensive golf clubs, the Nike visor with his hair perfectly spiking out, and just butchering it.

Good interview with Horse on AFL360. Love his sense of humour.

His rapport with Robbo is awesome but Wheatley not soo much.

Robbo was about to go on a spiel about how good horse is as a coach with clubs trying to find someone like him but Wheatley cut him off abruptly to talk about gws new coach lol

I was trying to find a reason to dislike Geelong, Wheatley has been irking me for a while with his dismissiveness of us and tonight was the same. I now hate Geelong.

To be fair, at the top of the episode Whateley made it clear how stacked the line-up was and it felt like they had to rush through each individual segment to fit everything into the episode. Whateley's job is to keep things moving along according to the production schedule and I thought he was fine with Horse and even acknowledged we were in the top four ahead of schedule.

If anyone is to blame, it's the producers. Maybe if they hadn't spent 20 minutes in last night's episode talking about Collingwood's win over Carlton, they might've been able to afford all of tonight's guests and stories more time.
