There was talk earlier on in the year about the club's concern over Gov's professionalism with his rehab. There was later a rumour that he was potentially seeking a trade back to SA. Maybe now he's thinking WA? Personally don't see it happening but an interesting one to keep our eyes on.

Eddie was cooked so I’m not sure he had much to contribute but if we’d kept him in a coaching capacity I reckon we might have got Stengle.

Im wondering if it may have been the other way around - that we decided against Stengle and hence decided we didn’t have an immediate need for Eddie especially as Voss was coming in with his own ideas for a coaching panel

Reminder than not only is Eddie the former teammate and mentor of Stengle, and not only a former housemate but also a cousin of Stengle. So the Cats were very smart in getting them in together. Could have been us…

McAsey would be on a fairly small contract at Adelaide, and probably trigger heavy (eg games).

We’d offer him a pretty similar deal if we’re going to go down that path.
