Yes, that period too.

And who knew Charlie would hold up for the whole season (that's a minor miracle in itself)?

If you're using hindsight to evaluate the performance of the player, then surely you also have to accept using hindsight that Charlie is available for the entire season.

There’s no way he would have got 3 years, surely not.

If that’s the case then my opinion of SOSs recruiting has hit rock bottom

Certainly possible for a contracted player to switch clubs, which was at our behest. Looking more likely than not, or did we add a year after his impressive handful of games in 2021 (then dropped off after the WBD game when he couldn’t seal the deal in front of goal, the beginning of the end in my book).

A question for Riley Beveridge.

And why was he missing from VFL games at the end of the season when not on the injury list.

2E, Higgins, Smith, Selwood

Not sure what age has to do with it, considering we have the least number of 28+ year olds in the league
I like Ed but he is around near typical afl retirement age and missing this year with calf/hammy issues I can’t see why club would want to give him another contract. Too risky imo.

The Club has stated our priorities are continuing the improvement from within and build stability by re-signing rising stars like Harry McKay and TDK.

Then BF posters bemoaning stability and knee jerk decision for years want to trade Harry for the No.1 pick or J Daicos and Ollie Henry and offload TDK for Darcy.

To quote Brian Taylor - wowee!!!

Risky, when considering Cuners, Williams, Martin, Gov, Marchbank?

Just pay him good coin to captain the Northern Blues and play VFL, he can set the example there with the young blokes

I wouldn't lose TDK for Darcy. Are you kidding? TDK has so much upside, more dynamic around the ground and very decent below his knees. One of our most important players moving forward.

I'd do it every day of the week.

Darcy is only 24, miles ahead of TDK who might become anything but is a fair way off it still.

I'd prefer to swap Pitto for Darcy!

This is impressive for a 24yo ruck.

Welcome to BigFooty trades.

Melbourne was still in Victoria when I last checked.
l think you know what was meant.

Not sure the point of the discussion because it is not happening.
Clearly Melbourne are looking for the Jackson replacement most likely to be Grundy.

Darcy won't be going anywhere likewise TDK.
