Ruck is perennially one of the most overrated positions in football.

Pittonet was a floating stump in the last two games and TDK was a spent horse needing a spell. A good ruckman would have been handy.

Concern with McKenna would be the possibility of him just packing it in in 12 months and pissing off back to Ireland.

You'd want some assurances that he's in it for the long haul and not just a free holiday.

And there's a difference between "committed to a full AFL career" and having the talent to fulfill that commitment. There's likely a large number you could add to that list if they had the ability/talent to do so. e.g. Carlos.

I think we've too readily given up our second round pick over the years when there's often still value there in the draft.

I'd be disappointed if we again hand over what is a good pick for a role player in Acres. Jones compensation should be enough for a team that will have more important deals to focus on

Why did Freo only offer Acres two years?
BTW there is nothing wrong with living in Perth especially in summer.
