Funny everyone has a different perspective, I reckon GWS have got reamed there whilst everyone else about broke even. Looking at the ins vs outs of much rather have GWS original hand. Is there really such a big difference between pick 1 and 3 this year ?

Puts them in the range for the best WA kid and then get an additional first rounder. That’s a good deal for them.

They just got the two wa kids they wanted plus setup well with 2 1st rounders for next year
And rioli for something like a pick 27

North obiously didnt rate Cadman as high as GWS. GWS are desparate to get players who might want to hang around eg Cadman from Ballarat. Now North get the two players they rated top picks possibly Wardlaw & Shezeel.

WCE were worried about the go home factors also hence being keen to move back up the order and giving them the opportunity to take two WA kids.

Someone mentioned Armatey above I hope he is one we are looking at? Would be happy to give a 2nd round pick for him.

I was thinking pick 28 going back to North.

That would value Clark at 1557 points or about pick 8. Considering he is contracted then that is the price they have to pay.

They needed to jump ahead of North, knowing that they would have 2 picks back to back.
Willing to throw out 12 and some 3rd/4th rounders to make sure that get Cadman.

West coast will take Busslinger.

North effectively traded 2 number 1 picks

For pick 2+ 3 and a future first most likely pick 15ish

Now the JHF trade has gone through, I think it will unlock other trades now.

There's been waaay more progress already this year than there usually is by now, a lot will happen from here I reckon. Clubs wanting to get deals done.

Last year there were 15 players traded total, most of them on the last day. This year there have been 15 already.

If the club do trade Clark for Port's future first, they should try and turn it into pick 5 or 7 from GC as they need picks in 2023.

7 is going to Geelong

GC will want one good pick this year.

3 academy players next year, they can just bundle up 2nd and 3rd rounders for them

I reckon that tells you all you need to know about what Norf thought of JHF. Didn’t commit to basic recovery sessions, had a few tanties when they were losing, one year into his contract and wants to go home after sleeping in the Norf guernsy after getting drafted.

They may be losing out a bit in that trade but what’s the alternative? Keep sooky boy on the list for another 12 months when he’s out of contract?
