Busslinger, Weddle and Hayes are the best backs in the draft and there’s not a lot between them .

Hayes is a genuine 200cm one.

Would be a fantastic bit of value and a great addition to the list as a developing tall back.

The type we could leave in the VFL for two season when Corr’s contract is almost out.

Cowan's a better fit than Hayes with our current list build.

• 199cm, 82kg (will need some time to put on some weight)
• 2.99 20m
• Averaged 20 touches as a key defender and improved as the year progressed. Should be noted that he took kickouts from time to time, which inflate his disposal numbers but also speak to his decision making and ball use by foot.
• ~2 weeks off qualifying for next year's draft (17/12/2004 birthday)

His biggest area for improvement IMO is his intercept game (only averaged 1.3 intercept marks and 5.3 intercept possessions at NAB League level), but he improved on these in his 4 champs games (3.3 intercept marks and 6.5 intercept possessions).
