It’d seriously be 20 years since I was this excited by St Kilda’s youth. What a crop of kids they are.
The amazing thing is it seems to have happened very quickly. And quite unexpectedly.
Coaching and development. Greatly underrated.

We were just near the race where he went off and the look on his face was not good, hope it's not too badI can’t work out when/how he hurt it, but he looks sore as buggery.
Stuffed if I know who’d come in for him if he misses though…
But you would like itI’m too sexy for prison

Nas is going a bit underrated simply because you could easily think he’s already played 200 games.

He looked very tired during the Press Conference lolVibes

Mates in the umpiring department help a lot. He's not out of position though.
I think he's always been a forward but Bevo is too ******* cute snorting glass and spinning magnets.
Ruined Cordy playing him back. Ruined Johanissen playing him forward. Brought Schache in, found a role for him at CHB in the VFL and then nuked him playing FF in the seniors. Had a perfectly capable FF in Bruce and an AA level junior defender in Naughton. So who does he throw into the backline?
Bevo is an absolute astronaut who caught the most insane run of luck and form in AFL history and rode it to a flag.
* him.
Agree - that’s the right attitude & the boys need to believe!
I honestly don’t think right now any other top club could beat a decent team with 15 injuries including 2 best forwards out! How do u think Carlton would go without McKay & Curnow? Incredible effort for the first 2 rounds against supposed top 4 sides.
However the rubber band must be close to breaking.
Surely we are due some injury luck soon?
Fair comment but we are 2-0 against supposed top 4 contenders - also we weren’t 8 -3 with 15 injuries including our 2 best forwards. Both Carlton and us choked away almost exactly the same 8-3 or 9-2 or some s**t dream starts to the season. Two teams in the same season choked similar starts to fall out of finals. Shows it’s possible even with a promising start
Lid firmly on but the signs are good
Honestly. The amount of rubbish in this forum when the RTB news broke was embarrassing af. Those who sooked will never admit it but deep down they know who they are.If any supporter has doubts about Ross The Boss after the last two games, I doubt they exist. We are a brand new team and we look GREAT when we are on.
Our first and second year players are truly leading the way. This is so impressive, Pou, Mitchito-san and Caminiti were huge tonight. The injuries we have aren't great, but would these guys be playing if it wasn't for the injuries?
Not only are we playing tough footy, we look good while doing it. We've got a good brand going and I can't believe Ross has got the players to buy into it so quickly, I expected things to take a year.
Caminiti's goal kickstarted our comeback. Love to see it.
I noticed the whole team getting around him after he kicked that goal. I remember last year when we were desperate for a goal and Higgins kicked an absolute ripper of a goal and not one single player went near him to congratulate him. I know it's his first game, but to me that just shows that we're playing fully as a team and that makes us so strong. Even if we're missing 5 or so certain best 22 players, the new guys are filling those gaps.
Love it. Love the Saints and love the footy.
It was a masterstroke, and very brave move to sack a coach a few months after extending them, but clearly it was the right move. Clearly.
Ross is so underrated on here , I think his last 2 years have been better than when he won the B&F's easily best 22Never mind ross had a big last quarter finished with 2 direct goal asissts and 6 score involvements overall
He looked very tired during the Press Conference lol
I say it often but I think he has a role to play even as he goes into his 30s. We’ve gone so young and you see all the good teams have one old dude who just hangs around doing the role player stuff. Seb is a foot soldier ross Lyon will back him to do whatever he needs on game day.Ross is so underrated on here , I think his last 2 years have been better than when he won the B&F's easily best 22
Seb has earned love from me , he didn't in the two BF wins as we were just crap but I love how he still busts his guts for the club and is a better player nowI say it often but I think he has a role to play even as he goes into his 30s. Rubbish? I think a majority of supporters who were concerned over the decision to appoint Ross wanted to see it in action, there were a lot of unknowns going into the season. I was always of the opinion that no matter how much people said it was a great appointment, I needed to see it as a lot of my questions weren't going to be answered until we played, other than I knew he would bring standards and we would at the very least improve - by how much was the question. And last week, I did mention that I will happily put my hand up and admit I got it wrong IF this form continues. I am sure that any reasonable supporter of this club would do the same. You'd have to be brain-dead to want us to fail so you could say you got it right.Honestly. The amount of rubbish in this forum when the RTB news broke was embarrassing af. Hopefully both Bytel and Windy come back in next week.Steele out will be a blow but under Lyon's game plan it doesn't matter too much if we have someone who can come in and fit into the game plan.
We didn't miss Webster much tonight.
Melbourne are like that, someone gets injured in defence, midfield and forward they have someone ready to go and they don't lose out too much.
The problem for them last night is that they lost May, Gawn and Pickett all at the same time.
