i believe clarkson formally started at north after the investigation was made public.

you had the opportunity in the interim between signing and having him commence at the club to reevaluate whether he was the person you wanted to lead your football club or to seek an alternative.

having gone ahead and backed in clarkson before a relationship had been formed between him and the club then i cant say i feel much sympathy for north having to bear the consequences of that action. you knew what you were getting into.

he is limited to 6 months and in this circumstance i would assume the AFL pay that out. Since he has made himself unavailable for work then there is potentially an argument he gets nothing.

That is termination costs yes - but are there protections from legal action by a Coach given this would undoubtedly play out in the media.

This appointment had so much hype and hope for North.

For Clarkson, I hope he's doing okay and looks after himself from a personal wellbeing perspective. Even if he did do something wrong with the Hawthorn situation, he still needs some human empathy.

The outcome of that investigation will obviously decide his coaching career. I don't think he's back at North until / unless he is cleared.

Do you honestly think it takes 9 months to conduct this investigation?? Seriously no way… it would have been over in 1-2 months. The problem was they didn’t like what they found.

There was documented evidence from both the journalist and the hawks investigation. This isn't a "he said she said" situation at all.

Why this Clarko persecuted narrative? He was still able to do his job, I think part of it is he just cant be bothered coaching a crappy side while this investigation is going on. If his side was 7-2 like Fagan he wouldn't of stepped down.

We've been told that this panel is a good, honest group of people who won't be influenced by other parties. If they really are saying that mediation involves an admission I am guessing they have found some damning evidence.

They're sposed to apologise for the conduct of other people tho.
