Jackas really took it up to the tigers today. They kicked 4 goals 4 in the first quarter only to kick a total of 1 goal 1 for the rest of the game as the tigers ran out narrow winners by153 points

The mail from Brindisi St is that Ajax players, coaches and supporters spent up big at the bar after the game. My insider tells me SBMT played a blinder despite Ajax being injury ravaged. Wintle & Kinsella seen talking to Bloom after the game. Were they trying to woo him to Mentone.

Ajax had all of their guns in, were not injury ravaged. They will be thanking the weather gods for making Brindisi a glue pot, if it had have been dry they would have lost by 353 points...pathetic effort with even their supporters booing them. They are no certainty to stay in B Section.

Question for Brain drain. Sean Towner, how come not in the 23's squad this year? Played the last 2 years as a 19 and 20 yr old, playing good footy at the moment, any particular reason why he's not in the squad?

OEG too good for SKOB at Keilor Hill winning by 6 goals.

Beaten by 6 but a lot closer than the final score indicates.
If SKOBS ever kicked straight they might be in with a chance of winning.
It pissed me and everyone else OFF when they missed an easy shot at goal only to see it go straight up the other end for OEG to kick one.
This happened about ten times....
We had as much of the play but no one to convert......
All in all a good game of hard football with SKOB`s squandering their chances (too many to count on 2 hands)

42 points is 7 goals where im from. SKOB played with a lot of passion but dont have enough good talls. They were very pumped before the game and looked dangerous early. The big guy (12 i think) was good down forward but went off with an injury in the second.
Bit of a worry with Baddely getting rported but will get a max of 2 if he gets done at all
I dont think it was any closer than the score indicated. OEG are without a doubt a class above the SKOB dogs. ALways great beating them, especially for the second time in a month.

As long as you cort my drift, thats fine by me. Time is money, and that money bought me lessons with Tracey Menzies.

I wanted your opinion on who you think can cope with losing players to injury, i merely stated the top 5 - 6 teams. If you want my opinion, then here. I think Uni, Marcellin and St Bedes can provide the most back up closely followed by OE and SKOB. I also believe the top 4 will come from these 5 teams.

The 2's seem to be missing from this topic board and i believe they will play a heavy role this year with most teams gaining injuries every week and the 'harder' grounds can potentially create more injuries. Hence curious on what people see happening in the next few months.

Old Haileybury Boy...is that it?....just the one big loaded question to BF forum - or will you be contributing something in due course?

The way you guys are going you should start asking the same questions to the C-Grade thread in readiness for 2009!

Yes, that would be why i am posting in a B section thread, because the only obvious reason would be that i'm associated with an A section team. Got the tail right on the donkey's nose there carl.

A couple of big weeks coming up that will provide some answers to see who are the pretenders and contenders of the B section reserve finals race. looks a tough gig from 3rd through to 6th to fill out those few spots left, so a few wins to either teams can bridge a gap on their competitors. Early days but looks like SBMT and Uni are the ones to chase although only one game clear of 3rd, i must say are about 3 - 4 goals ahead of most teams on their day.

Looking forward to see the outcomes over the next few weeks.

We were beaten by a much better team. Terrible ground I9 must admit. Very sticky mud. Caused alot of errors.

Hugh Lacey absolutley killed us. He is a match winner with his speed and disposal and Uni Blacks work really hard as a team to get him the ball.

As much as I hate to admit it. I certainly would not tell him. We miss Dobbo as a genuine stoppage/clearance player. We have lots of runners and a quite quick. But some one has to win the ball before you can get out and run.

I played in the Ruck for 2 quarters. Enjoyed it alot. As the ball was not coming down that often or to great advantage to any of our forwards.

We have lost 5 games. Uni Blacks twice, St Kevins, OEG and St Bedes. Says something doesn't it. No point making the finals if you cant beat the teams around and above you.

I have no answers and no excuses. We were just smashed!!

You don't put SBMT in that class DeeKay?
I have seen a fair bit of St Bedes this year and it's fair to say on their day they are the best side in B by 10 goals. Brindisi is a massive home ground advantage, however they are due to be knocked off thre at some stage. Was amazing watching the skill of the Tiges on Saturday, Ajax looked like witches hats.

Super Dal,

That would have been Delahunty. Can play!! Kicked 4 on debut! Great Hands especially in a pack!!

I personally dont think he should have been dropped. Oh well doesn't hurt the confidence to go back and kick 9!!

Brian, u cant be serious! I usually have a lot of respect for your opinions but that is outrageous. Also, the Brindisi home ground advantage will do them no good at HQ on GF day, that is if they even get there...very silly comments!!

Never mind that, I think the person who is the stiffest not to make it is OE's Andrew "puggs" Parker, very stiff to be cut down by injury and would've set the vics alight against SA...

Sorry Chuck - I can't give you a particular reason. I can only suggest that there are plenty of U23 lads pretty stiff on missing out and Sean would be towards the top of that list. He's still pretty young and has many good years of Ammo footy in front of him.
