Demons twin towers Petty and JVR kicking the goals today... I really like the glimpses from Van Rooyen, IMO he is going to be a hell of a key forward.

He went 3 selections after Darcy Wilmot's draft, very happy with Wilmot but JVR would have been a need for us.

Yes I had forgotten that part, I was at a Lions draft function at the Gabba for that draft with briztoon , IIRC he was wanting JVR and I think he also liked Johnson who went at 21, I liked him pre draft as well. I don't think Lohmann was on the radar with either of us... I could be misremembering briztoons thoughts though.

Think that's it. Entertaining game, even if not the result I wanted. Gawn just crazy good and the Petty+JVR combo a success. If there was any question over whether Grundy was finished at Melbourne there isn't anymore.
