lol what this amounts to is that they kept some people on the string who demanded accountability through the year with this august deadline and tough talk, but they were never intending anything other than this. Loser club.

Even the **** Crows...
They’ve gone through 5 coaches since we’ve had this muppet, albeit one tragically.

One of them even made a Grand Final for Christ sakes.

I just don't understand the whole "We need to make a decision before finals or it will be distraction" Why will it be a distraction? The Coach was contracted the following year the last time we played finals and it concluded with a 12 goal home prelim loss.

Brisbane will crash and burn again and they’ll move on from Fagan well before Hinkley eventually blows away like ash in the breeze

I just love how it's clear from how they've dragged this out they are fully aware that Hinkley is not well liked by a lot of Port supporters and is as stale as a week old donut but they are still going to give him a multiyear extension. He has not achieved anything note worthy in his time at Port that would explain the 11 years of extensions. This club has lost its soul under Koch and I think I just need to admit it's not my club anymore and move on. I have already ditched the memberships I had and have made no effort to get my young kids involved in supporting the club. I knew as soon as he wasn't sacked at the end of the 2022 season that he would get an extension this year. We have a genuinely good list that can make finals on talent alone but there is still no system. Nothing that can get us though the real pressure cooker of September.

People from opposition boards will come in here and tell us that we're overacting and that we'll finish top four but how many times do you need to see the club fail under the same leadership to start to think "hmm maybe they don't have what it takes". When Crows supporters tell me I'm being too harsh I ask them to think about what it would be like to still have Brenton Sanderson as coach and keep in mind that he has never taken you to a grand final let alone a premiership.

Imagine if it's a Giants v Blues grand final this year (not out of the question). It'd be another kick in the guts for those of us wanting change at Alberton!!!

Because Koch wants the best of both worlds. He knows the so-called "happy clappers" will get on board either way, but he's pinning his hopes on a finals performance spike that will cause people like us to go "hang on, maybe I will stick around a bit longer".
"Maybe this time..." He thinks we're idiots.

Hey Port Power fans,

How good was that 2017 season, you all enjoyed it so much then so don’t we have a treat for you now!

You all LOVED co-captains, so we’ve now launched a new product to our valued customers, the ‘CO-COACH’.

This revolutionary new idea (patent pending) will give our franchise the best chance of winning*. So let’s welcome back for his 12th season at helm Kenny Hinkley and his co-coach Chad Cornes.

*winning the hearts and minds of dead-s**t supporters.

This would be infinitely better than extending Ken and losing Carr.

Its funny that we've reached a situation so bad that its literally impossible to come up with something worse. I'd celebrate Troy Chaplin sitting in the head seat next year.

Was it a distraction when they were on The Streak TM

Contradiction after contradiction

When the Chairman starts negotiations after saying he hopes the incumbent is a 20-year coach, there was never going to be any other result.
It was probably over when earlier in the year Hinkley basically said we'll get together to discuss how long to extend my contract in August.. I actually think that's how it rolls, it's the Hinkley Family Footy Club.

heck this shite. He’s basically been trolling us all year and is now giving this campaigner a contract based on a lucky winning streak.

I hope the wheels well and truely fall off now.

Subject: Concerns Regarding Ken Hinkley's Re-signing and Membership Renewal

To Whom It May Concern,

I hope this email finds you well, albeit it's written with a great deal of frustration and disappointment. As a long-time member and avid supporter of the Port Adelaide Football Club, I feel compelled to express my deep concerns about the possible decision to re-sign Ken Hinkley as the coach, despite the series of abject failures and underwhelming performances we've witnessed over the past seasons.

It's disheartening to see the club's leadership disregard the evident need for change and progression. I have supported this club through thick and thin, investing not only my money but also my emotions and time. However, the decision to retain Ken Hinkley has shaken my faith in the club's commitment to success and its fanbase.

The frustration among fans is palpable, and I cannot emphasize enough how disheartening it is to see a lack of accountability for the team's subpar results. We deserve a coach who can lead us to victory, who can inspire players to reach their full potential, and who can put the club on a trajectory towards consistent success. Sadly, Ken Hinkley's tenure has shown little evidence of any of these qualities.

If the Port Adelaide Football Club chooses to prioritize familiarity over ambition, I must seriously consider whether my membership should be renewed. It's not a decision I take lightly, but it's one that reflects the disappointment and frustration that has grown over the years of unmet expectations.

I implore you to reconsider the decision to re-sign Ken Hinkley. Our club's legacy and the passion of its loyal supporters deserve better. This is a critical moment in the club's history, and the choices made now will undoubtedly shape its future.

I hope you can understand the gravity of this situation from a passionate supporter's perspective. The decisions you make impact not just the team's performance but also the emotional investment of countless fans like myself.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email. I sincerely hope that the Port Adelaide Football Club will listen to the concerns of its supporters and take meaningful action.

Yours sincerely,

[Your Name] [Membership Number] [Contact Information]
BLOODY WELL SAID!

Though I'd cut Ken some slack for 2012 and change one word to "underwhelming performances we've witnessed over the past DECADE!!".
As that's how long it's effing been:mad:

Those 'opposition board' supporters who claim you should be grateful seemingly ignore the fact he has been the longest serving coach at the same club in VFL/AFL history (almost over 130 years now) without making a Grand Final..

It's absolute patronising and condescending bull shit that you shouldn't be forced to accept, and the worst thing is David "Ned Flanders lite' Koch and his board of faceless oompa lumpas (puppets of the SANFL most likely) do not have the passion and burning desire to see Port make grand finals and win flags in the AFL

It's a shame Allan Scott is no longer with us, I admittedly don't know just how big of an influence he had at your great club, but I honestly reckon Kern would have been gone years ago if he was still around.

I hope I am wrong, can't see Ken leaving PAFC under your goody two shoes Chairman also goes.

You guys have every right to be pissed off.

This amusing Birch Barlow rant about Mayor Quimby is how I imagine you must all be feeling about Kinkley.

Why is Hinkley so protected by the media? Brendon Bolton and David Teague were never protected like he is.

Which one of youse post on shitadelaide?
