We should definitely appeal it
Seems overly excessive for a bump where the player didn't even leave the field for a concussion test. Over reacting methinks.

Just get Sir Dane to present the case.Yeah no downside of appeal. I can’t see us winning appeal, unless we use the Carlton precedent early this year that got over the line.
Not if we appeal before our luck runs outArent we like 0-3 appealing?
McCartin will be reduced to 1. How is it considered High Impact, just wait for the delayed concussion to come along. Medium impact at best….player had no resulting effects. Set up to be 1 week on appeal.Just get Sir Dane to present the case.
McCartin will be exonerated with the humble apologies of the court.
The bloke is stretched out on the turf and they don't do a HIA. Srsly? The impact is usually dependent on the opposing team’s medical report. Although they didn’t do an HIA on him, wouldn’t surprise me if they reported McAdam showing delayed concussion

So yes and no.Legit question. Can someone explain the high contact and high impact grading???
I get the high contact (head) but high impact (or potential to have high impact ) if that is always high for a high contact why even have the category???
Essentially the question is - can you get high contact and medium impact grading?
It will get downgraded. Will still likely get a week. They should argue on two points. The change of direction of McCartin towards the ball prior to impact meaning he is actively avoiding a collision. The second will be on the call of high impact. There is no way this can be graded as high impact based on precedence. Look at the sling tackle that was graded as medium impact this week in the Geelong game. Much more forceful impact to the head. I’d not only be challenging but also demanding for a written explanation from Christian as to how he differentiated the two. The man is a biased ****wit. He won’t get off that unfortunately
2 weeks was always going to be the case. This is the afl leveling the playing field after last night's shenanigansMcCartin’s ban is a disaster.
Well won the game despite playing for half the game. To avoid sending us all to a early grave, is it possible they actually play out a full game instead of this trying to defend a lead crap?
The star on the rise that is Gulden continues to rise, 30 disposals and 5 tackles. Mills doing another good tagging job , this time on the lying rodent Dawson, holding him to 19 disposals.
I think there is plenty of grounds here, McCartin follows the path of the ball, its an unavoidable collision, the high impact is what it is…this is a 1 weeker every day of the week. Christian once again blinks.Depends on the medical report if there are delayed concussion signs no way it’s not high
It’s because the impact was not serious…Drs would have reviewed over and again on the bench and still chose to do nothing, because impact was low.The bloke is stretched out on the turf and they don't do a HIA. Srsly?
