Depends if we draft Curtin but there should be a few KPP's available Arie Schoenmaker & Will McCabe and as for rucks Mitchell Edwards should be available too. Good times.Assuming we don’t have to match a Sanders bid, do we go with a ruck or kpp with the port pick?
Perfect neutral response.Depends if we draft Curtin but there should be a few KPP's available Arie Schoenmaker & Will McCabe and as for rucks Mitchell Edwards should be available too. Good times.

Plus both WA teams stocked for young rucks - so no spot for him if he wanted to go back, at least immediately.I certainly think we should shift Jacob for Mitchell if still there at the Port pick. Seen others say it would be beneficial also if taking Curtin to have the two WA kids together.
Edwards makes a lot of list sense, but there are so many other gaps.I certainly think we should shift Jacob for Mitchell if still there at the Port pick. Seen others say it would be beneficial also if taking Curtin to have the two WA kids together.
The old ruck forwardAssuming we don’t have to match a Sanders bid, do we go with a ruck or kpp with the port pick?
Smart, that’s why you’re paid the big $$$.The old ruck forward
You know, one way of getting two guns? Using pick 2 and 3. Pretty decent recent example of this.Admittedly have only just started looking at this draft but is anyone else feeling really uncertain about who to draft? Previously I had LDU (should have been no 1), Thomas (will be at least top 5 retro), JHF, Shez and Wardlaw as lock them in no questions asked we have to take them. You just had to watch a few of their games, like two. But this draft, I get Reid, ready made and will step in and will roll into the midfield like he's 25 not 18. We are stacked with midfield talent already, we could end up like GWS, salary dump mania. They should have won a flag already. Curtain interests me the most, would not be suprised if West Coast take him, he had 25 pos as a midfielder at 195cm omg. Would not be suprised if Eagles and us overlook Reid to load up on as many high picks as possible to increase the odds of landing one or two guns. Recruitment teams are going to need to earn their money, or maybe it's just pot luck this time. Please no champion data. This is the draft that will looked back upon as what could have been or you nailed it. Over to you Brady, no pressure at all.
My point was Shez and Wardlow were easy picks. The selection meeting would have lasted 5 mins and then lets go to the pub and celebrate we have a job for a few more years. Tell me your pick 2 and 3? Clarko would be expecting a 5 day deepest of dives analysis and if your screw this up your out.You know, one way of getting two guns? Using pick 2 and 3. Pretty decent recent example of this,
Still a far better position to be in than selling 2 and/or 3. You have a greater chance of getting a gun there then being lucky that nobody picked someone good later in the round. My point was Shez and Wardlow were easy picks. Last year we did trade down to maximise return while still getting our guys.Still a far better position to be in than selling 2 and/or 3. You have a greater chance of getting a gun there then being lucky that nobody picked someone good later in the round.
The importance of this cannot be overstated.Yep, he would free up Sheezel to play forward.
ok, if you want to put numbers to it, going from 2, or 3, to 5 is pretty marginal at best, as opposed to the idea of "us overlook Reid to load up on as many high picks as possible to increase the odds of landing one or two guns."Last year we did trade down to maximise return while still getting our guys.
If our Sheezel and Wardlaw this year are McKercher and Watson then trading 2 for 5 to still get both players (with a draft order of Reid, Curtin, McKercher, Duursma, Watson) would be a similar mindset to what we applied last year.
Fisher or Clark or McKercher can free Sheezel up to play forward. The importance of this cannot be overstated.
Curtin is not a McKay replacement, but he would achieve the above, and that's priceless.
This doesn’t make any sense, the recruiting team has been watching these players for years they know just about everything about them. Brady has publicly stated our top 4 is locked in they know exactly who they will take at 2 & 3.My point was Shez and Wardlow were easy picks. The selection meeting would have lasted 5 mins and then lets go to the pub and celebrate we have a job for a few more years. Tell me your pick 2 and 3? Completely agree. From the limited vision I’ve seen of Curtin he looks like the perfect replacement for Sheezel, I think he’d fit in seamlessly. The importance of this cannot be overstated.
