Someone mentioned in this thread that there might be a second chance window if Brisbane don’t require all of their allocation. There’s also a smaller chance that some payments didn’t go through and people don’t follow that up.

I did mean the number of games bit being too hard or do they do that too?

I know Liverpool did it years ago for away games. Tickets were allocated on how many home games and away games attended. And this was over 15 years ago. I'm fairly sure they followed the same ting for cup finals.

The whole ticketing system is a sham.
The lotto approach is completely unfair to the loyal supporter.
Loyalty should be rewarded ie length of membership and ideally number of games attended, (probably too hard).

I was lucky, I got cat 1 for my daughter and I, but the 2 people I put in the ballot after me, also legend members, got cat 4. Last time they were near the cheer squad whilst we were level 1 near westcoast cheers squad! And I got smacked in the head my the pie man’s tray! Funny yes, but I’m about To be a 60 year old lady!!

we pay top dollar to guarantee a GF ticket, even when we have no chance of making it!

we go to every possible game in Melbourne, we flew to Perth and Sydney for the interstate finals,

I was in the cheer squad back in the late 70-80s,back when we slept at vic park for a ticket, then a break to 2008, my daughter is 27 and has been a member since she was 5.

up to 30 thousand corporate tickets! That’s insane! 30% of attendees could be supporters of other teams. Or not even barrack for a team!

why can’t seat holding members have 24 hours to pay for that seat in finals? Or corespondent seats if at an away ground? If you don’t pay, your seat goes to the chook raffle. They could charge me just about anything, I’d pay.

so basically we now have premium members who will be sitting up the top of level 4. Way to treat the constituents!

Seems to be a lot of P1 members saying they have had no money deducted from credit cards. Ticketek up to there normal shit show that the AFL or clubs will do nothing about. In the end they all get there money.

hardly. Affording an MCG legend membership is not a sign of wealth IMO! I want to sit with my own ferals, ie, near the cheer squad with like minded people, I’ve had enough run ins with other teams ferals, so I budget for the safety of it, and to pay a premium for the GF ballot.

tell me, did you not hear the coach say that us fans got them over the line? That’s me every week, why should a non Collingwood fan or non attendee sit in my usual seat, while I’m relegated elsewhere, because of chook lotto?

AFL membership sent an email with same details we knew but I had hoped there would be mention of a guarantee now we know we play Brisbane.

Unless we now have an influx of Collingwood Gold Members if the 2010 join ups are now Gold.

Anyone know what the waitlist is sitting at? Have the 2010-2011 people been offered gold now?

Also wonder how much of the afl reserve is for non AFL Members.

With my tickets for GF received Cat 6. Which is top deck up the back.
Not happy but happy to be there and pies to win the big one

People need to drop off for new gold members to come in. Collingwood can only have so many when gold is capped at 30,000.

2018 prelim logged on as soon as tickets were released, got through 1 minute before it sold out. Selected Ponsford, but it gave me top level above the tugger cheer squad. Despite being at the opposite end to our cheer squad I had a great view, made a heap of noise and was bloody glad to be there. Like anything it’s what you make of the situation.

Have the AFL/club changed the quantity of higher category seating available for members this year? I’ve been a legends member since 2008, as have my family and friends. 2010 x2, 2011, 2018 I’ve always been fortunate enough to get level 1. It’s only anecdotal evidence but so have all the people I know with legends members (and prior to this year not one has ever got category 6).

This year however we are all category 6. Whilst I can see in this thread some have higher category it does appear on the evidence available the seating quality is far worse across the board for club members this year.

Depends where you end up with Cat 7. If you are M33, that's as good of an AFL Grand Final experience as you'll ever get. Behind the goals in the Ponsford. If it's back of Level 4, obviously a different story. Not all Cat 7 tickets are created equal

But you'll have to start at the silver level and the estimated wait time to get to gold is 7 - 17 years.

the refreshing your online account every 5 minutes only to see money has not been deducted, repeating over and over for hours, then telling yourself screw it I'm not going to look at BF or my bank account again for another 2hrs, then breaking that promise to yourself after 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the club will never just issue grandfinal tickets to Legends' ultimate members. They sell memberships with the carrot of "guaranteed GF seat". Knowing fully they cannot honour that statement. Its called marketing 101. Lay the blame on the AFL and all 18 clubs for allowing the GF to be turned into a corporate event.
