I know was being sarcastic budWould imagine with all of Norf's priority picks, getting one back wouldn't be the end of the world for them. I could deal with that if it were the case. Straight up Pick 7, not a chance in hell, IMO.

Did you also have a bunch of driving misdemeanors including driving on a suspended licenceYes I did. I got a 5 year DVO placed on me to. Doesn't mean it happened.
Represented myself in court and won.

Geelong open to moving on top draft pick: AFL trade news
"Whichever way we decide to go I think we will get a really good outcome."www.zerohanger.com
Tbh, this is what will really happen because we have the list spots.
7 is traded for 2 or maybe 3 picks in the draft, and with the Sav pick(s). I suspect we just keep trading our picks to upgrade to 3 picks in the the 12-30 range.
Blokes we will be looking at are:
Darcy Wilson
Charlie Edwards
George Stevens
Arie Shoenmakers
Angus Hastie
Zane Zakostelsky
You get 3 of those blokes in, and it's not a bad off season.
Did you also have a bunch of driving misdemeanors including driving on a suspended licence
That's not a he-said she-said situation, that's breaking the law and endangering lives.
As i said before, i trust the club to do the right thing.
Moving on! Back to Paddy Dow memes
Its definitely the nature or his issues that is of concern and also the fact that he's done it multiple times even after being sanctioned by the club, can he change, who knows, can he play, yes he sure can, do we want that potential ticking time bomb, id have to say no.This is not the stuff that concerns me. Joel f*cked up our sponsorship by speeding, and he's the most level-headed person our club has probably ever produced.
Sh*t happens. Lachie Hunter isn't a bad guy either. Neither was Stengle. We're all for Bailey Smith and he's got a ton of issues too.
The only thing that concerns me is the stuff with the women that came forward, but if he can change his behaviour and become a better person in the future - then we shouldn't judge him on that for life.
Stringer gambling and cheating on his pregnant wife with an underage schoolgirl is where I draw the line. Thomas seems like an idiot, but he's still young and he seems to hang out with the wrong crowd.
Brad Crouch and Stengle turned it around at their new clubs, so I think a change of environment/personnel can make a real difference. Toby Greene is another really good example of this. Has made genuine changes in his life, and genuinely seems to think twice/lead by example now.
Everyone can change.
That's why i said earlier i trust the club to make the right decision and to mentor guys like him like they did with Stengle. If he can prove he's on the straight and narrow i'm on board and i'll be the first person to say you guys are correct. This is not the stuff that concerns me. Sorry but I just got a bit confused with the announcement, I get it's a bit of fun but after the intially . post, I just assumed the whole thing had been a joke, then the later Thomas announcement confused me and I assumed that was still a joke post.Guys & girls, settle. This is the exact thing you all said you weren't going to do earlier.
If you don't like Thomas, that's fine, everyone here's entitled to an opinion...but Calder is just delivering the news. That's what you all asked for.
Honestly what I took out of that is we'll trade down, give one of them for Thomas, and take 2 to the draft.![]()

And that i agre with.Honestly what I took out of that is we'll trade down, give one of them for Thomas, and take 2 to the draft.
I want to make it clear everyone, I'm not for one second condoning his actions, but if he's on the podium accepting a Norm Smith medal this time next year, you'll be surprised how many change their minds.
Case in point being Stengle, Stevie J, & even one G Ablett in a different era.
My point being, if you really do hate him, you better stick with it... because if you jump on as soon as he's helping us...you're no better than what he's been accused of.
Let's not try to be white knights here. We don't know the story, we only know what's been reported.
Tarryn could possibly be an even bigger d**k than he seems to be...or none of it could be true. We don't know.
Let's save the gossip and moral high ground for the playground, and just let this play out.
Our club will make the decision, and I back them to make the right one.
That's fair enough, just a breakdown in communication. Calder was in Adelaide, time difference and all.Sorry but I just got a bit confused with the announcement, I get it's a bit of fun but after the intially . post, I just assumed the whole thing had been a joke, then the later Thomas announcement confused me and I assumed that was still a joke post.
I know I shouldn't be this invested in a footy forum but now I just feel a bit played by those who "are in the know" and the joke being on the rest of us, hence some frustration about all of this.
I actually waited for 7pm with excitement and then just felt like an idiot.

Yeah you can't say that mate, its been proven in a court of law that he's a dick, throwing out that none of it could be true is ignorance at its finest, the guys a trainwreck, stop trying to justify the trade with senseless rubbish.Tarryn could possibly be an even bigger d**k than he seems to be...or none of it could be true. We don't know.
Yeah I'm probably on the side of 'no' when it comes to him joining the club - given those issues.
With that said, he did genuinely look to be happier as the season went on, got better, and showcased his immense talent too. If he's completed the programs, learnt a bit more about how to behave and surrounded himself with better people, then perhaps he's still a chance to get his sh*t together and forge a good career/become a better human.
Who knows what'll happen, but I'll leave that to the club. If they think he's in a better place, then I'll back their judgement. Will be up to him to not let us or himself down though.- if it even happens.
Yep, 100%.And that i agre with.
As i just said above, "I trust the club to make the right decision and to mentor guys like him like they did with Stengle. If he can prove he's on the straight and narrow i'm on board and i'll be the first person to say you guys are correct."
I love Stengle and he's had a shady past, doesn't mean people can't change.
He's a young kid and there's some growing up to do for Tarryn, but if he's truly ready to commit to working hard, the club believe in him and being a great Geelong footy player is his gameplan you can count me in.
Hate to correct you because I'm not condoning the alleged behaviour, but he actually wasn't convicted of anything. Charges were all dropped. Might be a sad indictment of our legal system but nothing was actually proven anywhere.Yeah you can't say that mate, its been proven in a court of law that he's a dick, throwing out that none of it could be true is ignorance at its finest, the guys a trainwreck
Sam Edmund on SEN tomorrow would be my tipSo anyway, how long until Tom Morris, Tom Browne, Mitch Cleary or the like start "reporting" the "mystery mid" news and claiming it's their source? LOL
Well ill correct you somewhat as well. He avoided conviction but admitted his actions.Hate to correct you because I'm not condoning the alleged behaviour, but he actually wasn't convicted of anything. Charges were all dropped. This 100%Yep, 100%.
Through my field of work I've met 100s of people who aren't actually bad people, they've just had bad things happen to them, or they've been surrounded by the wrong people.
Many would be surprised how much that can influence someone's actions. It's as the saying goes, 'hurt people, hurt people'.
Nobody's born good or bad, they're a product of their environment, and you eventually reach a point where you're old enough to make your own decisions and have your own views.
Tarryn's reached that age now, and if he's prepared to be a better person then I'm on board 100%.
That's the part that's important. We have all made, and will make, mistakes. It's whether you're prepared to learn and grow from them that will decide if you're good or bad.
That’s the thing. He is a tosser on and off the field. To be fair to Toby Greene he has really grown up this year and its shown, he's actually very likeable and we all know how good he is, the problem is you can be a tosser on the footy field but when it comes to serious almost sadistic actions off field its a lot harder to change and convince people you are a good person.
TouchéWell ill correct you somewhat as well. He avoided conviction but admitted his actions.
