That’s harsh!
Stand corrected if I’m wrong but he’s either a third tall defender or a mid for me. He’s not taking the big forwards.

How many times have you been to an interview and they ask about your background etc. when they're already read your CV so clearly already know that you have a degree in X and have worked for company Y.The thing that stands out is how amateurish that feels. He was taken at pick 24 so must've been pretty well known. And they're asking him stuff like whether he played for the Bushrangers last year and how he got injured.
Every club would have those details on 200+ draft prospects now. Maybe they did know and were just letting him get into the conversation but the club seemed about as prepared as they would be for a blind date.
But Bont was playing midfield in his draft year. Hasn't Curtin been playing kpd?Bont himself was an average mid as a junior, people are very quick to make their mind up on 18 year old kids these days, especially when most of the judgement comes from 5 minute highlight packages..
News Corp article this morning has the following players linked to selections in the top 10:
1. West Coast - Reid
2 & 3. North Melbourne - Duursma, McKercher, Curtin
4. Hawthorn - Watson
5. Bulldogs - Watson, Sanders
6. Melbourne - Caddy, Sanders
7. GWS - Caddy, Curtin, O'Sullivan
8. Geelong - Sanders, Curtin, Caddy, O'Sullivan
9. Essendon - Caddy, O'Sullivan
10. Adelaide - O'Sullivan, Windsor, Wilson
Looking like it might play out something like:
1. West Coast - Reid
2. North Melbourne - Duursma
3. North Melbourne - McKercher
4. Hawthorn - Watson
5. Bulldogs - Sanders
6. Melbourne - Caddy
7. GWS - Curtin
8. Geelong - O'Sullivan
9. Essendon - ?
10. Adelaide - ?
If North take Curtin, that's how we get someone decent besides O'Sullivan, IMO.
We get O'Sullivan, I'm trading with Adelaide for 10 and 20/10 and Future 1st. Wilson and Leake/Tholstrup/DeMattia etc or the Future 1st, is better than O'Sullivan alone, IMO.
Yeah, agree. If North picks Curtin it is likely Sanders reaches us. Dogs seem set on Watson, Melbourne and GWS both set on talls. Probably ends up like this:
1. West Coast - Reid
2. North Melbourne - Duursma
3. North Melbourne - Curtin
4. Hawthorn - McKercher
5. Bulldogs - Watson
6. Melbourne - Caddy
7. GWS - O'Sullivan
8. Geelong - Sanders
9. Essendon - ?
10. Adelaide - ?
Is curtin capable as a forward?? Or is he purely a key defender??Bit strange the question marks on Curtin. His ceiling is a better version of Blicavs. His floor is more like a Brodie Kemp from Carlton - a good 3rd tall.
Unless you have some reliable evidence to prove otherwise, then you have to take the clubs word for it.You seriously think whenever these stories do the rounds (no matter what club) that the 2-3 month "injuries" that pop up are always legitimate?
Unless you have some reliable evidence to prove otherwise, then you have to take the clubs word for it.
Otherwise you are choosing to believe in unproven conspiracy theories.
He's actually taller than Weitering. Measured 197cm at the recent combine.Curtin is the same height as Weitering.

While that is true... he spoke about how he and his Claremont Colts coaches came up with the plan to start him off as a forward this season, and they abandoned that plan after a handful of games as it just wasnt working out the way they hoped. That was when he moved into the midfield for the first time and had probably his best game of the season. He can play anywhere, and has.

Doubt he slips all the way to us thoHe can play anywhere, and has. Started the year as a forward.
Could he genuinely play as a permanent midfielder?? If so, in what sort of midfield role??While that is true... he spoke about how he and his Claremont Colts coaches came up with the plan to start him off as a forward this season, and they abandoned that plan after a handful of games as it just wasnt working out the way they hoped. I think we would all be very happy with that outcome… I am happy with either caddy sanders or o Sullivan…. Setting up two key backs who are A grade for the next decade isn’t a bad thing. Most premiership dynasties are built off elite defensesYeah, agree. If North picks Curtin it is likely Sanders reaches us. Dogs seem set on Watson, Melbourne and GWS both set on talls. Yes I believe that he could, but the question will be if that's the best use of his talents. I could see him developing into a 197cm James Sicily. A guy that can read the play, intercept and act as a playmaker.Could he genuinely play as a permanent midfielder?? If so, in what sort of midfield role??
