A cat he is ob1, but a lion he becomes when unattended. Adopt the Steve Waugh tactics and he goes missing.............

how do you figure? When would any team leave him unattended? he gets the best backman each week and has lowered all of their flags! His tally proves it. Cat? Kidding yourself!

Can anyone tell me when the last time OEG lost by over 100 points?

and the tigers did it without anstey who injuried his hammy, and no andy scafidi who was seen at the sydney races, not sure what he was doing up there though....

Great to see the great man Paul "stretcher man" groves in the goals and surely will be TBP's player of the round

It was a very impressive performance from Stretcher Man which included 4 first quarter goals which really set up the win for St Bogans. He's definitely in with a big show for the now famous TBP's Player of the Round. Needs to work on his hair-do though... don't know how well that works for him down at Playhouse Bar & Pool?

I acknowledge in a previous post to Rabs that he was the one to stop you di ckhead and was just pointing out a weakness that he may have! Unattended in the verbal and physical sense is what was meant and from memory OE did this well and he only kicked 1 goal?

oeg had nothing to do with it.. when your team isnt getting the ball, which we didnt its pretty hard to kick it to him. but anyway your clever underlying messages are to clever for me, so ill just leave it and say you're a jerk. All the best

Sinclair is definitely suspect when put under physical and verbal pressure - Quick is spot on.

Hi lads, been away o/s with no internet, see their are some newbies here with no brains, see the St Bedes boys doing well, wait to see them on a large ground in finals.
Who will take the drop???

A saloon bar? I doubt big tough Paul would be seen there too often, if at all? But not to worry it is only a short drive down the road to Forbes Lingerie where you will no doubt bump into him stalking the "specials" bin.

From all reports, Paul was strutting his stuff around the tiger bar and managed to tell most of the players and supporters how many he kicked. Apparently Ben Phibbs has never seen a guy who loves to create and get the attention. Also was doing it at the Mentone Hotel although he wasnt there for most of the night. But his baby brother Tyson was very proud of him.

Is Tyson playing this year?, have not seen his name in the team lists or is he playing at Brighton this year with Callan and Justin

If the Guru agrees, I must be right!
Now that I have brought it to Beaumaris attention lets wait and see how many he kicks this week.
I will be happy to be proven wrong but I bet I'm not!!!

TBP- Can you have a new section in your weekly report 'Player in the Gun' let's put a bit of extra big footy pressure on someone who we think is suspect (to verbal & physical) in this area and see how they go. This weeks nomination can be Sinclair.....

Fair deal, but i hope for my and my teams sake your wrong.

be careful of Erkel Sinclair... is in rare form and is an angry man at minute, due to an involuntary 40 days and 40 nights of celebacy!

all the best

Re: Beauy Reunion 1997

Ventured down to oak st oval on Saturday to watch the gold and blue and catch up with a few of the old boys! Good nite it was to. Good to see somethings never change Quentin Groves still loud and drinking plenty! and david teasedale will he still be playing(i think he needes a few solid preseasons if he wants to) when they celebrate their reunion in 2013( from 2003 over those pussy collegians) Go Sharks

No match report on the bombers website as yet. No match report on the OM's site for a couple of weks, lift your game people.

TBP - what was your take on the result from the weekend?

Richard clay - haven't heard a tigers perspective either?

Wht about Marcelin - great win. Brian Speaking, wht happened to the skobs, a heap of VFL players in your line up? Marcelin twos also ended the great run from the skobs twos who were looking untouchable after smacking the tigers at the postage stamp.

Very disapointed in the jackas - how can they smash the bogans by 90 odd points yet sit 2nd last? Have a pretty good run home and enough talent so should stay up.

Beauy have a tough run home, probably need to beat the Tigers to ensure B Section for next year. if they get relegated is Russel Barnes the only coach to have two teams relegated from the one grade in a 3 year period?? Not a record Barney would like to have and would surely end his reign at Banksia Reserve. Will he then return to his homeland of Ormond???

A lot of questions raised - any answers out there.

Here's TBPs Round 16 Preview:

Old Essendon (2nd 52 points 134%) V Uni Blacks (3rd 40 points 115%) @ Keilor Hill by 22 points
OEG to bounce back after last week’s demolition.

Caulfield (7th 24 points 93%) V Beaumaris (8th 24 points 79%) @ The Racecourse by 14 points
Winner is just about safe for another year. Caulfield at home, another bag to Sinclair.

OMs (6th 24 points 93%) V St Bogans Mentone (1st 52 points 180%) @ The Junction by 46 points
Tough game for OM’s. Need to be competitive to keep a % healthy.

MHSOB (10th 4 points 53%) V Marcellin (5th 24 points 98%) @ The Public School by 55 points
The Eagles are back in form but far from safe with OEG and St Bogans in the last 2 rounds.

SKOB (4th 36 points 96%) V Ajax (9th 20 points 91%) @ The Rat Cage by 9 points
SKOB are safe in the 4 and Ajax simply have to win! SKOB but only just!

Match of the Round – OEG V Uni Blacks @ Keilor Hill
OEG were given an absolute football lesson last week at the Postage Stamp. How will they respond? Have St Bogans knocked the wind out of them or was it the wake up call they needed? Blacks have won just 1 game in the last 4 weeks and that was last week against B Grade whipping boys MHSOB. Are they the first horse gone in the straight or are they about to crack the whip and power down the straight? Should be a great game to watch with both sides desperate to bounce back into form just 3 weeks before finals.

One to Watch – The battle for relegation
It’s round 16, you’re sitting in 5th place and you’re still in the mix for relegation… it’s a tough life!

Here’s how I think it will finish:

Marcellin – MHSOB (W), OEG (L), St Bogans Mentone (L) 28 Points
OM’s – St Bogans Mentone (L), Uni Blacks (L), Ajax (W) 28 Points
Caulfield – Beaumaris (W), SKOB (L), OEG (L) 28 Points
Beaumaris – Caulfield (L), St Bogans Mentone (L), Uni Blacks (L) 24 Points
Ajax – SKOB (L), MHSOB (W), OMs (L) 24 Points

B Grade Player of the Round – Paul Groves (St Bogans Mentone)
In the biggest game of the year Stretcher Man stood up and went WHACK! 4 goals in the first quarter and 6 for the game! He’s wanted it for a while some time and here it is… TBPs Player of the Round!

Old Essendon V Uni Blacks @ Keilor Hill by 2 points
OEG to bounce back at home,JUST.

TBP was it as big a night on the track Tuesday as Tom Brain has said it was going to be on Sunday Radio for the OE boys?

Caulfield V Beaumaris @ The Racecourse by 8 points
With Sinclair goaless after a before the first bounce box on!
OMs V St Bogans Mentone @ The Junction by 22 points
This will be closer than we think.
MHSOB V Marcellin @ The Public School by 75 points
The Eagle easy against the whipping boys.
SKOB V Ajax @ The Rat Cage by 29 points
SKOB to bounce back!

Pretty solid 2hr session... We know we were beaten all over the ground last week so we worked pretty hard on Tuesday night and it was a really sharp session. We also realise that performances like that are simply not good enough for a top of the ladder team in B Grade.

TBP,

do you think you guys were that bad or were the tigers that good.

question for you TBP, what in's/out's have OEG from last years line up if any? you don't have to name names if not comfortable, just a rate players that have come/gone will be good enough if you don;t mind?

You'd have to say a bit of both really... credit to the Tigers, they were really good. They love the Postage Stamp and they play a really tough brand of football there. We were down on form, simple as that and I think it's the wake up call we needed. We now have 3 weeks to get it right before the intensity lifts another couple of notches.

Hakim went to Greenvale and Playfair retired. The Biggs brothers came back from the VFL and Stormont & Day came back from the EDFL. So it's fair to say we added a fair bit of strength to the midfield.

cheers.. just trying to get a feel for the standard in b grade compared with last year.. seems about the same though yeah? I know collegians seemed head and shoulders above the rest last year though..

TBP, is Drew Fletcher still pulling on the boots? (not at OEG i presume) Could he play!!
