You clearly have an agenda against Elijah. He's had 25 possessions and 3 tackles playing all over the ground. Personally I thought he's had a great first season at a new club and fitted in seamlessly.

People forget he's only played 30 AFL games. Will play 200 games.
No agenda... Maybe I am harsh on him.

I'll admit didn't realise only 30 games thought he had more for gold coast.

Hopefully there are some lessons learnt about where players should play and what suits them and having faith in actually using next man up in future after that performance.

Binns is a better winger than Ollie. Ollie is a natural Kade Simpson styled half back. Had an awesome game

Kemp is a natural up forward. The pressure the running. Perfect third tall / mobile option.

Fit Durdin is awesome. Super sad for him.

Lord and Carroll showed plenty.

Moir is a going to be very good and I almost enjoyed his want to bump Reid more.than his goal.... Almost

Thought the vfl players showed enough to persist with them. Thought Carrol was ok too

Happy with Durdin game- thought he linked up well. Hopefully shoulder not too bad

Happy with the win but feel st Kilda will be an entirely different kettle of fish

Hopefully we can get over them with our key players still out-give them extra rest for finals

Moirs goal shows he has the instincts of a forward

could be anything if he puts his head down and works hard
4 touches, 2 contested marks, 1 goal 1 behind (and what a goal), + a tackle on Harley Reid was quite a debut for a 4th quarter sub many weren't sure how he'd get near it yet.

Might well be quite a work in progress for a while, but wouldn't be surprised if he appears as an impact sub at least more often than not until he gets a tank.

Cripps is a machine. Born leader. This man deserves a flag so much. Hope we can deliver him one in the next few years.

George. Sensational. So clean. Loved his game.

Cowan is a beauty. Tough as nails. Going to develop into one hell of a player.

So good to see us play positive, attacking, free flowing footy.

Kemp forward. We've been wanting to see it. We got it. We loved it. Leave him there forever. Perfect 3rd tall for us.

Loved Lords first half. Clean. Made good decisions. Good by hand. Tough. He stays in the team.

I slapped Pitto during the week. But he bounced back tonight. Been out of form for some time but he responded. Need that intensity from him if we make finals.

Loved Moirs goal. Pure class. The kid has talent. Let's hope we see him reach his potential

I think his best asset is his ability to kick on both sides
agree - very underrated attribute

he also has a bit of flair...not sure what its called (uncanny?) but he deceives oppos with some special types of moves and this seems to give him a bit more time than what most players have

in a nut shell he isn't predictable like most players are

That was a great win under the circumstances. Cripps, Pitto and Kemp put in huge performances and many others were right there with them. What a contrast to a week ago.
Pittos ruck dominance was influential particularly when the game was still an arm wrestle. Got quite a few clearances himself and was hard at the ground ball. Big tick. Needs to bring that every week.

No agenda... Maybe I am harsh on him.

I'll admit didn't realise only 30 games thought he had more for gold coast.

Elijah’s kicking was very poor today, but he found it a lot.
I thought he was maybe in the top 10 for us today

Can someone help me understand. IMO Young has the potential to be that second tall KPD we need. And today he gave a glimpse of that again. Did the coaches tell him to play within himself? As someone else suggested, was Newman his guiding mentor today? What's needed for him to really make it? Self-belief? Self-control? What is it...?
Concentration

Finals start next week.

Not sure we do the same next week up against a very high credentialed coach and side who is in hot form.

Team balance imperative,a lot for coaches to ponder.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

So many positives today…

Cripps, is a Carlton immortal…

Binns, released Ollie to roam the midfield and allowed us to spread from the contest…

Lord took pressure of Walsh to win contested footy…

Young locked down allowing Weitering to be at his attacking best…

Missing Charlie and Harry, showed Kemp could be our missing third forward…

Also showed our best entry inside 50 is by lowering the eyes and hitting up the free targets… This would even have a positive effect on Charlie and Harry as they’d have to lead for the ball.

2x Hollands, Cowan and Kemp best games for the club…

Binns, Lord & Moir all play next week on merit not out of necessity… Maybe Lemmey can make a big debut also…

Carna Blues!

Been a while since I said it

Had a nasty feeling they had started drinking their own bathwater and got lazy a month or so back and sure enough we fell down the precipice of misplaced over confidence.
Its a long hard climb these last 4 years from woeful to improving to competetive ....to thinking they've made it ....and now lets hope we remember the hard work that got us in that bath in the first place and go onwards to actually made it.

Oh and we curse the injury gods a lot but I reckon they've done us a favour now.
