I wonder why neither GC nor Port preferred to deal with North. Their first pick next year should be a good one.

Port can say North or nothing as he's got multiple years on a contract, we generally deal though so if say Carlton come up with first rounder and help Port get other deals done we'll probably roll over.
Cerra came 3rd in our B&F last year.Funny this coming from a Carlton supporter, the oil is still wet on them from getting pick 6 and a 3rd for Cerra.
Yes. But they can't be lots ages or heights all at once.Well if a player can play short or tall, surely they can play young or old too?
I'm standing by my joke.Yes. But they can't be lots ages or heights all at once.

This narrative is ridiculous. There is no way port “want” him gone. Otherwise we wouldn’t have signed him up to a long term contract, had him in our leadership group and had him in the top 3 in our b and f last year, and likely this year. Port are accepting of him going, if the price enables us to get a decent return. There is no way we are a better side next year without him, and a draft pick in between 10 and 15 doesn’t shift the needle at all in the short term.Port “want” him gone though. They want to refresh the list a bit in this strong draft so Houston will go. And Carlton will get Port a decent pick and probably a second I would guess. Main part of the deal will be a pick between 10-15, from either Richmond or GC

You think Houston heard that you guys were chasing Perryman for 7 years at $850K which was why Cornes said that money was a factor why he wanted to be traded to Melbourne???This narrative is ridiculous. Maybe. But signing a contract was his choice too. If you don’t want to be tied to that money and that length of time, don’t sign it.You think Houston heard that you guys were chasing Perryman for 7 years at $850K which was why Cornes said that money was a factor why he wanted to be traded to Melbourne???
It can be both things we could pay him more to stay but you’re assuming his sole reason for leaving is money and nothing else are you sure that’s true ?You think Houston heard that you guys were chasing Perryman for 7 years at $850K which was why Cornes said that money was a factor why he wanted to be traded to Melbourne???
Cornes reported this and he would have some internal information and now make sense with the reported 7 years at $850K for Perryman, are the ITK posters saying this isn't the offer for him????It can be both things we could pay him more to stay but you’re assuming his sole reason for leaving is money and nothing else are you sure that’s true ?
Because that’s not the view of itk posters on our board
Unless a Camry crows fan has better into on a Port player than port fans do…
Port have been trying to get Perryman to the other side for year whereas Houston wants to live in Melboure with his NEW partner. You think Houston heard that you guys were chasing Perryman for 7 years at $850K which was why Cornes said that money was a factor why he wanted to be traded to Melbourne???

It's inline with the information a week later from that "prominent" 5AA caller but maybe they are the same person and telling BS???You quote a lot of ITK posters. Are you sure they are all ITK ?
Pretty good rule of thumb for everyone this time of year. No one actually ITK is posting on BF. If a hundred nuffies fire off enough bullets between them a few are obviously going to hit and let them claim that internet cred
Who? McDonald and Fisher?Plus I feel they are well stocked at HBF.
I also assume relations between the two clubs would be frosty after the JHF saga
What happen if Port Power don't increase his salary to what he want as reported by Kane Cornes and then see them bring in Perryman on 7 years at $850K??? He might be forced to.
If he want more money then he is forced too, money talk to certain players.Hes not forced to do anything its player power. Hes not going to north.

ThisNot so sure about the narrative that Houston would only be happy going to a "contender".
I dare say he's two main priorities are getting back to Melbourne, and getting the most attractive contract possible. If it happened to be with a contender that would just be a bonus.
But Port Power only want North's F1 so he is forced to go there if he want more money as Port Power isn't going to change his contract.Other vic clubs who are more appealing than north will offer him enough money.
Carlton would be an interesting option if they can find the cap space and draft capital. I'm not sure it happens though.Hopefully he announces the club of choice in the next few days. I expect Carlton's offer depends on what they get out of Kennedy, Young, & Owies etc... So a last day trade. Maybe Young will be part of the trade itself.
