Guess everybody is ok with the AFL letting the Lions and Eagles tamper with the FA system so eagles dont dilute the allen compo and lions get more for starca than they would otherwise..

In all seriousness, since tampering has been happening for eons, everyone has already decided whether they think it is ok or not.

The tampering is an AFL issue, I'm all for them closing loopholes and backdoors - but while there are such loopholes I would hope my club is trying to take every advantage (we've been the 'good guys' for far too flipping long)

I believe this trade was mutually beneficial. Fremantle effectively secured their target from Melbourne while still retaining a first-round presence, only dropping a few spots. I’m not sure the ‘bent over’ comments reflect the reality of the situation.

Not sure Freo's angle with this trade so this is not a criticism of them, but calling what is currently pick 19 as a first round presence is generous, even if all things considered it is technically correct.

What is wrong with it and tampering with it come off it every club does it you are negligent thinking they don't. It's a fair trade, all 3 got what they want, Freo aren't interested in this years draft get a player that they can use in a widow when you contend draft picks mean squat.

Yeah look to be honest you should be thinking contend next year, Jed helps that in a position you lack. Pick 12 is like pick 18 or whatever it's hardly that good this year. You can still take a WA slider with the pick 19 anyway or whatever

I don’t think you got reamed. It’s not terrible for Freo tbh. I reckon you’ve got a strategy and are meeting all of the goals of that strategy. Wait and see what happens in the draft. Have confidence Mr Maniac.

No, just no. It is day 3 of trade period. WC have paid less than 23 for Starcevich, Brisbane have received more than 23 for Starcevich.

Freo have paid for the reigning premier and an archrival to get stronger so they can get a fair trade done for an uncontracted player done on day 3.

It is absolutely ridiculous

I would have more confidence they have tried something and could MAYBE give an out that they tried (poorly) and nothing came up.

How have Freo done very well? Moved pick 12 back to 19 to move 33 up to 23, whilst also dropping 44 to 46? Actually lost draft points in the trade? On the 3rd day of the trade period.... Makes absolutely zero sense
