I wonder why neither GC nor Port preferred to deal with North. Their first pick next year should be a good one.

Houston seems to be a bit different from history and being less stringent on where he goes so far.
To me its more or less if North wants him they get hin in a way . Suspect its that simple
Where are they gunna get the other first rounder to go along with pick 12 though?Gold coast pick #12 would be the best option for your F1 but you would most likely throw in something els from this year to get it done #28+F1 for #12 would be appealing to the GC suns.
Where did you see that? On the news last night he said he was taking a week to decideBoak has signed on.
Collingwood has two first round draft picks? And Collingwood , Essendon, Geelong, Hawthorn, Richmond

It’s not really a win if you get stuck with a player that’s publicly stated he doesn’t want to be there. Look how that worked out for Essendon with Daniherluckily port hold all the power in this trade. Either he stays or we get a great deal.
Win win
While I'm sure he's "fine" staying if needed and probably wont even nominate a team publicly, realistically he's telling them a team behind closed doors.Have we ever seen this scenario before?
Player is happy to play for ANY Victorian club and also happy to stay if nothing van be done.
Reportedly 7 years at $850K offered for Perryman and then bring in Lukosius on more than him so......luckily port hold all the power in this trade. Either he stays or we get a great deal.
Win win
Richmond Would be a hard sell for Houston to leave a contender and move to a club that probably won’t sniff finals for 3-4 years especially at his ageRichmond can get the deal done. He'd be a great fit.
Tigers box seat for mine.
Port isn't a contenderRichmond Would be a hard sell for Houston to leave a contender and move to a club that probably won’t sniff finals for 3-4 years especially at his age
But then why come out publicly to say you're leaving until the ducks are in a row? While I'm sure he's "fine" staying if needed and probably wont even nominate a team publicly, realistically he's telling them a team behind closed doors.
Seems all the rage this year. Ask for a trade but don't pick a club till as late as possible. I've honestly never seen it like this with Baker, Cumming and Houston now. It's weird. But then why come out publicly to say you're leaving until the ducks are in a row?

No chance we offer pick 7 we need to bring in young midfield talent ! if we end up with pick 8 for battle maybe that might be considered but I definitely wouldn’t be adding in extra picks a top 10 pick should be more than enough.St Kilda would offer Pick 7 + F2nd. In this draft a enormous difference between 7 and 11 too so would outbid you easily
Your future pick is high teens, not 11.I am sure North are in a position to offer more, but I can't see Houston wanting to go there at this stage.
I agree it seems unlikely at the moment. Let's see what happens.
My guess is we trade our F1 for another early pick this year and use that as the centrepiece of any deal for Houston.

Whoops, I only saw that Port would like to keep him on, but he's still weighing up.Where did you see that? On the news last night he said he was taking a week to decide

I was talking about the optics, what Houston is seeing.I thought you said Perryman had said no. Again you are making shit up as you go.

Losing Macrae and Smith gives both the cap space and the assets
Just going by what Kane Cornes reported, do you have insider information???And again you have no awareness of why Houston is asking to head back apart from the incorrect assertion that it’s money based.
