I come in peace, in shock, just got home from work and saw this, thought to myself no way, you can't be serious, thought he had it licked but it came for him in a rush, such a tragedy and a young family. Being a draft person I'm always interested what other teams recruiters do, as in the type of players they pick + the talent order they go and the pattern they set. Tiger fans, I mean this 100%, I'm so sorry for your teams loss and pretty sure Blair will carry on Chris's work in this amazing draft and he will be watching from above on draft night with a big smile; RIP Chris Toce.

Really sad. I've got a friend who has an aggressive cancer that is spreading, but the treatment keeps him OK. Really feel bad for Chris and his family.

By all reports was a terrific man and a had great eye for talent. I know someone who worked with him at St Kilda and had nothing but high praise for Chris. A great loss, condolences to his wife, kids, family and friends

Unfortunately a sign how quick cancer can spread. Sooner we find treatment for it the better. Such a terrible disease. Age doesn’t matter but if ill seek help.

Yeah it puts all the shenanigans of the last few weeks into perspective.... It's just ball of air and we take it so seriously.
Tell your family and friends you love them, if you have the cash and the means, go on that holiday, buy that thing you want, go out to dinner with your loved ones, don't sweat the small stuff.... we ain't here forever even though some people take themselves very seriously.

What I want you all to know is that your club has been absolutely magnificent through all of this. They have extended Chris and his family every kind of support, without being asked and without expecting anything in return. Richmond has put its arms around the Toce clan from the moment he joined your club, and especially in recent times. I can tell you that his family and friendship group are deeply grateful for the support. Your club deserves eternal respect for this, which I heard Chris and his family say many times.

Really sorry you’ve lost him, mate.
Obviously we clearly rated & cheered for him, but every comment from people who proper knew him has been about how he was so damn good at what he did & a simply terrific & passionate friend, colleague & person. Can’t ask for much more than that.
Would love to have met him.
Have a friend (Collo - see above) who was part of a hawks tribe with him. Devo’d & expressed similar sentiments re RFC.
And yes, it’s wonderful to know how loving the club has been. Scoreboards are the benchmark for fans, but knowing this makes supporting a team far more than just a transaction.
Take him with you, always, no doubt. And thanks for sharing the above. Very best
