Teague- What went wrong..

Is it fair to believe that the career of David Teague has been destroyed as he was involved in a car accident leaving the passenger a quadraplegic?

The game got to quick for Teague who is one paced. As an undersized backman opponents would expose him by taking him to the goal square. not tall enough to play on the talls and not quick enough to play on the smalls.

Very sad incident. He accidentally lost control of his car whilst driving with his girlfriend and hit a parked car. Unfortunately for him a lady was sleeping in the back seat with no seat belt on was injured.

He was extremely unlucky as he didn't know the lady was in the car. He was found not guilty i believe and there were no drugs or alcohol involved.

Teague has a lot of courage as a footballer but played in the wrong era.

Could make a nice living playing in the WAFL, SANFL or country

Would be good to see him stay at the bullants or a top up player if carlton fields its own VFL team next year. Still a good VFL level player and couragous, which is what you'd want around some of the young boys coming through.

Sorry this doesn't stack up for me. He goes from winning the B & F to the games too quick? The game accelerated past him in what, 12 months? At that rate of evolution players would need a trail-bike to keep up by now. Just seems a little too pat. Anyone else?

Word is he may have had an alcohol problem. I have nothing to back that up, however.

2004 we played most of our home games at OO. Think move to TD & MCG might have exposed his weaknesses more. Still played 21 games in 2005 but fell away in 2006, playing only 7 and 0 this year.

Teague was a courageous footy player. Unfortunately he wasn't that good, and wasn't at North.

Pagan was a courageous coach as well, for that matter...

From memory an ex-Collingwood player hit him in a nightclub (The Tunnel??) a few years back.

Never did find out who it was (allegedly of course)??

saw him out monday night, off his face..typical for mad monday..he then got kicked out of the pub as he was becoming a little abusive towards the ladies on the dance floor
